{Thrifted Thursday // A Treasure-Filled Day at Pennies from Heaven}

Do you ever just know it’s going to be a good thrifting day? Like deep down in your soul you can feel it...something magical is waiting for you. That was me on this particular trip to my favorite local spot, Pennies from Heaven. And friends, let me tell you…it did not disappoint!

As soon as I walked in, I had that fluttery little feeling. I could just sense there were treasures waiting for me on those racks and shelves. And sure enough...one great find after another started filling up my cart.

So what did I bring home this time? A sweatshirt, a cardigan, a dress, two picture frames, and a bag of greenery. All for under $20. Yes, you read that right. But more on that later.

First up, I scored a navy blue picture frame for just $4.00! It matches the one I grabbed last week and will be perfect for a sketch I have of our chicken coop (I just need to actually print it). I love when pieces come together like that...and I especially love when frames have that collected, mismatched-but-cozy look.

Speaking of frames, I also found another one for just $3.00 with 75% off. Total steal! I don’t have specific plans for it yet, but I’ve been grabbing frames here and there in hopes that I’ll finally get better at printing my photos. Anyone else take thousands of pictures but never actually print them?  It’s a habit I’m determined to break.

Next up was a bag of faux greenery ($4.00). I honestly have no idea what’s even all in there, but I couldn’t resist. I’m always trying to spruce up my chicken coop and this seemed like something that could come in handy. You know I’m a sucker for anything that can give it that cozy farmhouse charm!

Now for one of my favorite finds...a San Francisco sweatshirt ($7.00)! It’s got that perfect slouchy weight to it and is going to be amazing for rink days. Because even though we live in Texas, we practically live in sweatshirts year-round thanks to hockey life. With the rink sitting at a chilly 55 degrees and us being there 4–6 days a week, hoodies and sweatshirts are a must. Funny enough, I really wanted to get a sweatshirt when we were in California last time but didn’t...so I’m claiming this one as my honorary California souvenir. And, I'm sure, actually I know, it was a lot cheaper than what I'd spend at a gift shop in CA.

Then there was a blue and white striped cardigan ($6.00). If you’ve been around here for any amount of time, you know I’m completely obsessed with anything blue and white lately. The big buttons on this one sealed the deal for me! It’s soft, lightweight, and just all-around adorable.

And finally...this sweet boho-style dress ($6.00). I loved the colors, the print, the flowy style…just everything about it. I’m already dreaming of wearing it to church one Sunday soon. It’s one of those pieces that makes you feel cute and comfortable, which is the ultimate combo in my book! I know this picture does it no justice, but it's hard to capture in a photograph. I'll have to get a photo of it on (after I wash it). I'm writing this post right after my trip to the thrift store so that I don't forget!

I wore this dress to church on Sunday and actually remembered to take some photos in it. Just ignore how awkward I am taking photos of myself, okay? Fashion blogger I am not. lol

My haul came out to $29 and some change, but I had a $10 reward, which brought my total to just under $20. Not bad for six amazing finds!

Funny story though…white tags were supposed to be 50% off that day, and I thought I was really racking up the discounts. Only when I got to the register, the cashier let me know all the “white tags” I had were actually light grey.  So yeah, full price for those items. But honestly, I still would’ve bought them either way. They were just that good!

Y’all… can we talk about the seasonal racks for a sec?

There were racks and racks of the cutest Fall and Christmas things already out on the floor! My seasonal-loving heart was squealing with joy. So many cozy colors, festive prints, and fun little holiday pieces that were calling my name. It was SO tempting...and I maybe lingered a little too long...but I (reluctantly) refrained this time. I figured I should wait just a tad longer before diving headfirst into all things pumpkin and pine. But trust me…when I go back, it’s game on!

And that’s my latest Thrifted Thursday haul! Have you found any treasures lately? Tell me about your latest thrifting adventures...I love seeing what others are finding out there. Until next time…happy thrifting, friends!
