{Thrifted Thursday // A Stack of Faith-Filled Finds}

If you’ve been around here long, you know I love a good thrift store. There’s just something about hunting through the shelves, never knowing what little treasure the Lord might have waiting for you. One of my absolute favorite spots to browse is Pennies From Heaven…a local thrift shop run by a church, and y’all... I always I find the best stuff there every single time.

I especially love that because it’s church-run, they always have an incredible selection of faith-based books, devotionals, Bibles, wall art, and more. And let me tell you...I recently hit the jackpot. On my latest visit, I walked out with a stack of books that had me grinning from ear to ear!

Some of my all-time favorite authors were in that pile...Sarah Young, Max Lucado, Beth Moore, John MacArthur, and Bob Goff...and the best part? Most of them were under $3, with several just 50 cents to $1. I mean… come on. That’s hard to beat for books that pour so much hope, wisdom, and truth into your life.

I’ve already added a few of them to my growing shelf of devotionals and Christian living reads, and I can’t wait to dive into the rest. (Truth be told, I already tucked away a few that didn’t even make it into the picture because they’re already on my nightstand!)

Another thing I always look for at thrift stores? Bibles.

There’s something so sacred about a used Bible. I mentioned it here, but it’s truly an honor to pick up a Bible someone else once read and treasured. I love to pray over the previous owner, and also over whoever might receive that Bible next. The notes in the margins, highlights, underlines, bookmarks...all of it feels like a glimpse into someone else’s walk with God. Such precious treasures.

I also like to keep extra Bibles on hand in case a friend or family member ever needs one. Thrifting allows me to do that without spending a fortune...and that’s a ministry in itself.

Do you thrift books? What’s your favorite thing to hunt for at thrift stores...books, dishes, clothes, something totally random? I’d love to hear what kind of treasures you’ve found lately.

Until next time... happy thrifting, friends!

And if you're local — go check out Pennies From Heaven. Just save me a devotional or two.
