{Easter Scripture}

Over the years Easter has become one of my favorite holidays. I love the spiritual meaning of the holiday and sharing that with my sweet family. Every year I try to make sure that we keep our focus on Jesus and not on egg hunts, candy and the Easter bunny. Although those things are fun, these are not the reason we celebrate Easter. One of the ways we keep a Christ centered Easter is by reading scripture on the life, death and resurreciton of our savior. Today I am sharing some of my favorite Easter scriptures. I made these at cards that you can print out, if you wanted.

{5 Things bringing me joy right now // March 2018}

These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.
- John 15:11 (ESV)

It's time for one of my favorite link-ups...Five Things Bringing Me Joy Right Now! We absolutely loved reading all of the posts last month and sharing in the simple joys of life with you. Life can get so busy yet mundane and it's always good to find the joy in the day to day. We all have something bringing us joy, right? We would love for you to join us in sharing your joy.

{2018 Spring Bucketlist}

Happy spring 2018!! Oh, I can't even tell you how happy I am to usher in spring and all of its goodness {minus storms, of course}. We took a Sunday stroll through the country the other day and it brought my heart so much joy to see bluebonnets popping up everywhere. A sure sign that spring is on its way!

{Pickle Parade // Jeep Club}

This past Saturday we joined two of our Jeep clubs for the annual St. Patty's Day/Pickle Parade. It was a complete blast and we can't wait for the next parade. We had heard how crazy this parade gets (over 35,000 in attendance last year) but didn't realize how crazy until we actually saw it. There were massive amounts of people every direction we looked. We heard our names being called several times, but it was hard to tell where it was coming from. Later by way of Facebook, we found out who many of the yells were from. It was such a fun day!

{ Spring Break // Family Fun Day}

We had such an amazing week and weekend! It was filled with fun and adventure, so I'm going to break it down into a couple of posts. Otherwise, the post would be so long and picture heavy. Last week was spring break for Mason. We tried to do something fun with him every day since we both had to work. I'm just thankful I work at home and was still able to spend time with him. Monday we went down to the pond after work, Tuesday we went to his favorite place, Farmluck Soda Fountain, for ice cream and nostalgia candies, later Nate played basketball with him outside and then we took him to the park, Wednesday we went to the snowcone stand, Thursday was soccer practice and then we went to a Jeep meet at a really fun restaurant. Some friends of ours went so Mason got to play with his buddies the whole time.

I'm just a tad bit late on posting this. ha! I always enjoy these TBB asks posts, so better late than never, right? Here are my answers to this month's questions...

{This Past Weekend // March}

It's been a while since I've recapped our weekend! Mainly because I can't get my stuff together on Monday morning and by Tuesday I am over it. ha! But, I'm trying to be better about blogging things we've been up to...even if that means it being late. We had a really great weekend and if it weren't for this week being spring break I would be wishing for just one more Sunday (or two, or three!). Here's a look at...

{Currently // March}

Joining Anne in Residence for another"currently" post. I enjoy these prompted currently posts. This month we are sharing what we are currently planning, seeing, making, pretending and wearing.

{Five on Friday // DIY, Basketball, Soccer, Read Across America}

Happy Friday! It's been two weeks since I have touched this space. The Lord was really tugging at me to put aside something in order to spend more time with Him and in the word. So, I slowed down on my blogging and social media scrolling and did just that. It has been so refreshing and something I needed more than I even knew. I'm going to jump back into blogging (and what better way than with a random Five on Friday post?), but will still be intentional about carving out time for God and His word. Here's a bit of what we've been up to lately...

o n e | Our Wednesday night chuch Bible study started a new book a couple of weeks ago. We are studying the book of Hebrews and I am enjoying it so much. I've read Hebrews before, at least my Bible tells me so by the highlights and notes I've made, but I'm seeing it in a whole new way. I've learned so much more that I missed before and it's been awesome! Isn't it amazing how you can read something once and then read it again later down the road and get something totally different out of it? Hebrews ties the old testament history & practices to the life and history of Jesus. Jesus is the fulfillment of the law.

Looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the tjoy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
- Hebrews 12:2 (ESV)

t w o | It has been so rainy and gloomy here lately! I'm quite over it and my soul is crying out for some sunshine. Since we can't really get out and play I've been crafting. I made a few new shirts to wear to Jeep meets and events! And I've made some new earrings. I am loving these faux leather DIY earrings. I can't wait to find more material to make more.

t h r e e | This weekend we have our end of the season basketball tournament and then basketball is over. We are pretty sad about that. We have really enjoyed watching Mason play basketball and we had such a great team! We can't wait until next season. For now, we will be going straight into soccer. Well, if the rain ever clears up.

f o u r | This week was read across america week so Mason got to have fun dress up days all week. It's a nice change in pace for our uniform-wearing kiddos! Monday was crazy socks (Fox in Socks), Tuesday was hat day (Cat in the Hat), Wednesday was orange shirt day (Lorax), Thursday was green shirt day (Green Eggs and Ham) and today was crazy hair day (Daisy-Head Mazie). I only took a picture today because it was the first day we weren't blanketed in grey skies and rain. But, today just happened to be Mason's favorite day anyhow. We colored his hair blue!

f i v e | Friends, Nathan and I have entered a contest and need your help. If you could so kindly click on T H I S post and like our picture, we would appreciate it so much. The contest ends at noon today! We'd really love to win this contest. That link may not take you directly to our post, but it should get you close. The picture is the one below. All you have to do is like our picture.

That's all I've got so far! What do you have planned this weekend. We have sunshine today and my soul is soooooo happy!

Have a great Friday and a Great weekend!!
