{Easter}

Mason's first Easter was a BLAST!! We spent the majority of the day at the Ranger game. (Where else?) We had amazing seats and they were free. Can't beat that. The game was tons of fun and of course Mason made lots of new friends. Everyone is so nice to him at the games. He loves it. The Ballpark gave the kids an Easter Egg with the Texas Ranger T on it with a coupon inside for a free hat. Of course the hat was a promotional hat and ridiculously big, but fun nonetheless!! Mason is going to have quite the collection of Ranger stuff for his bedroom one day :)

How sweet is this face?!?

 Poor baby got tired and had to take a little nap. But this mama didn't mind. Love these sweet snuggles with my boy!

Oh those cheeks...

After the game we took a few more traditional Easter pictures. Wonderful, lovely day!

I absolutely LOVE how his feet are crossed in this picture! He always sits like this. Love it.

{Embrace the Camera}

Linking up with Emily!!!!

and this is why i embrace the camera every week.
not because i think i'm cute.
not because i think my kids are cute (even though they are).
but because we aren't always going to be around.
and it's important to document moments...memories...our life."

This Mister Mason and I sitting on the front porch waiting for the sun to go down so that we could look for the moon! It's one of our favorites!! I love the way Mason throws his chubby little hand in the air, points up and says "Moooo Moooo Moooo" over and over. It's the cutest. Seriously.

I love this little guy!

{47 Weeks}

Our sweet baby boy is now 47 weeks!!!
(as of Tuesday, April 19th)

That's 329 days, 7896 hours, 473,760 minutes that you have been with us Mason!! Most enjoyable 473,760 minutes of my life!!

Let’s see, at 47 weeks...

You are saying "Mama" more than Dada this week. That's a change!!
- Your vocabulary is growing. As of right now you can say (when you want to)
Dada/Daddy
Mama/Mommy
Nana
Papa
Hey
Dog
Diesel
Eddie
Yeah
*Moon
No
uh-huh

-Still love to dance and you do anytime you hear the slightest tune. You even dance at commercials. Too funny!

- You love for Mommy & Daddy to hold your hands and walk/run with you!

- You have "stood" up many times by yourself; the duration is getting longer and longer.

- Still love your toes. You are usually always playing with your feet. And you love to cross your feet/legs. So Cute!

- Sleeping has been great. You are taking 1 to 2 bottles throughout the night. You still sleep with Mommy and Daddy on your our bed.

- The amount of bottles you take daily varies. When you were sick you started weaning yourself off the bottles. So, now it's sporatic when you want one.

- Still doing well with the solids.You eat 1 4oz jar for breakfast, 2 4oz jars at lunch time and 2 4oz jars for dinner.

- You love to sit up on your own and play with your toys. Your favorite toys right now are your heavy die-cast Tractors (the ones that are supposed to be for decoration/collecting), anything that has a wheel or something you can spin and anything that makes noise. Oh and Mommy's phone!

- You're in size 12 or 18 month clothes

- In size 4 diapers

- You love love love water...in a sippy cup, in Mommy or Daddy's cup or through a straw.
 - You absolutely LOVE your A,B,Cs.

 - YOU'RE CRAWLING everywhere and getting faster and faster and more coordinated.

- You love the Moon!! We will ask you, "Where's the moon Mason?" You will look up in the sky, throw your arm up high in the air and point and say "mooooon". Yeah, it's the cutest.thing.ever.

- You give high fives, and then clap for yourself!!!!!!!!

- You will shake your head and say "uh-uh" or "no" if you do not want something or not want to do something.
You're so smart and so cute and we love you so much Masonbug!

47 Week Pictures:

{Wild Hair}

Mason, you were bald for so long...but your hair has really taken off brother! It's getting so long. I'm sure you'll need a haircut soon!! I wanted to share some pictures of how it looks every time you get out of bed!!!

{It's a Texas Thing}

Bluebonnet pictures, that is!! Most people do not understand this little Texas tradition, unless, they're from Texas. :) I have been wanting to get Bluebonnet pictures of Mason for a couple of weeks, but we could never work it out. Well, our bluebonnet pics have a funny story to go with it.

We were eating with the family at Hide Out Burger in Midlothian. Mason had a blow out diaper and of course they do not have changing tables in their restrooms. We had to make do with the trunk of  my sister's car and the field next to the parking lot! Oh boy, what fun that was. Needless to say, we had to change Mason's clothes.

After we were finished with that fiasco my sister says, "Look at that patch of bluebonnets, we could get pictures". So we did. Mason wasn't dressed very cute, and I only had my camera phone...but by golly, we finally got Bluebonnet pics! haha!

{Just what this Mama needed}

Photobucket

Lord, you knew just what I needed last night! Thank you for your many blessings.

I have been a roller coaster of emotions lately. Mason's mobile, which means he's more independent now...kinda makes a mama sad....add that to planning his FIRST, yes FIRST birthday party and oh my!! It's so hard to accept that my baby is growing up!! Yes, I am happy and so very proud of him, but that doesn't mean it isn't hard.

Well, the Good Lord knew just how I was feeling and sent me that reassurance that My little Masonbug will always need his mama! Mason would not let me out of his sight last night. He'd start playing with his toys and then realize I wasn't right next to him and he'd start calling out "mama, mama" and then would crawl as fast as his chubby little legs and arms would let him right to me. He even tried climbing up my legs several times. Oh my heart!!! I can't tell you how sweet it was to scoop him up in my arms and hug and kiss him.

One of the times I scooped him up he leaned right in to me open mouth to give me a kiss. I didn't even have to ask for it. Um yes please!

Then it came time for bed. I laid him down like normal and laid next to him. At first he just rubbed my face with his little hand and then next thing I know he's rolling right over into my arms. He wanted me to hold him and rock him to sleep. Yes, yes yes of course my sweet boy!!

I can't even begin to describe how much I needed this. Needed last night. Needed him.

Oh how I love him.

Thank you again, Lord!!

And because blogs are better with pictures:

{I love you to the Moon...}

Right now one of Mason's favorite things is to go outside and find the Moon. He repeats Moon over and over and over. It's the darndest cutest thing ever. It sounds more like "Moooo" than moon, but that's okay. He's awesome. Here's a video of us outside looking for the moon the other day.

Makes.me.smile.every.single.time

{Embrace The Camera 4-21-11}

It's that time again! I love this link up so much. Reminds me to get out the camera and put myself in them with my babies rather than being on the other end of the lens!!

This was the other night looking at the Moon. It's Mason's favorite thing to do. I promise he wasn't mad, he was just more interested in the moon than the camera!!

{Walking is sure to be soon!}

It's crazy because as soon as Mason started crawling he started showing signs of wanting to walk, too! If you hold his hands he basically runs. It's the greatest thing to watch! He looks hilarious because he runs with his legs and feet out in front of his body!!! So daggum cute though!

(Excuse my pajamas!)

{Move out of My Way}

So, Mason is mobile now...how crazy is that?? He's been on the verge for several months...but just got the hang of it a couple weeks ago. It's so weird to see him making his way around the house on his own. Good, but weird. I honestly thought he'd be crawling months ago since he's so advanced in everything else. I'm sure it's partly our fault, though...we don't ever put him down long enough! Ha! He's just so much fun to hold and love on.

I told Nate the other day that it's kind of sad...being mobile brings a whole sense of independence that I'm not sure I'm ready for. :( But then he looks at me, says Mama and crawls his way into my lap and gives me a big hug and I can't help but be happy and so very proud of him!!!!

It's been so fun to watch  him and chase him everywhere. It's funny when I go to change his diaper and he takes off crawling naked. I can't help but laugh!

Oh man how I love this boy!

{Baths in sinks are fun!}

It won't be long before the sink is too small!

{To Mason...From Daddy}

I dread 5 a.m. every day.  Not because of the work or just the fact that it is still dark out but because in the 12 hours I am gone that day you grow so much.  Every day I come home you look bigger and bigger and always seem to impress me with how intelligent and funny you are.  I love seeing that grin on your face when I come to get you out of your car seat.  It could be the worst day ever but all I need to see is that little grin and everything has been made better.  I love playing tractors and cars in the floor with you and chasing you all over the house.  I am sure your momma would tell you that I am the proudest poppa ever.  I love to see the reactions on people’s faces when they see my handsome boy.  I also look forward to our time on Fridays together.  I am not saying it is always easy but I want you growing up knowing that your dad will do anything to spend time with you and to be there for you.  Well, I am writing this at work and can’t wait to get home to see my boy so just know that you are the apple of your daddies eye and he is super proud and loves you to the moon.
