{To the One We Love So Fiercely // Happy Father’s Day, Nathan}

There are so many things I could say about Nathan, but the truth is, that words often fall short. How do you even begin to sum up the kind of man who is not only an incredible husband, but the most loving, selfless, intentional dad? This Father’s Day, I just want to say what our hearts feel every single day: we are so thankful for you, and we love you beyond words.

Watching you be a dad to Mason is one of my greatest joys in life. It makes me weepy in the best way. From the countless hours you've spent in the driveway playing hockey, even after long workdays, to suiting up during those parent/child sessions at the rink, your presence in his life is something truly special. You don’t just show up. You pour in. With your time, your heart, your encouragement, your wisdom.

You’re a safe place. You’re laughter in the middle of a hard day. You’re grilled cheese sandwiches made with love. You’re everything a dad should be...steady, strong, and endlessly kind.

You’re also the best friend I could have ever prayed for. I don’t say that lightly...you truly are my person. The one I laugh with, cry with, dream with, and walk through every season with. I’m so incredibly thankful that we’re on this team together...through the highs, the hard days, the victories, and the unknowns. There is no one else I’d rather be on this journey with. Life with you is full of purpose, strength, and a whole lot of love. You make our family better in every way, and I’m just so grateful to be doing this side-by-side with you. You're the son anyone would be proud to call their own. You love big. You serve quietly. You show up. You lead with humility and patience.

Nathan, you are the backbone of our family...the one who keeps us grounded, supported, and surrounded with love. Thank you for leading our family so well and for loving Mason in a way that reflects the heart of the Father.
