The sunshine has officially clocked in, and the sweet days of summer are here! In honor of the first day of summer (yesterday), I thought it would be the perfect time to share our family's 2025 Summer Bucket List. Every year, we love to dream up all the things we hope to do together...from big adventures to those simple, memory-making moments that make summer so sweet.
This list is our gentle reminder to slow down, say “yes” to spontaneous fun, and soak up all the goodness this season has to offer...
Whether you live here in Texas or anywhere else, I hope this inspires you to make your own list and embrace the sunshine, laughter, and spontaneity that summer brings.
Here’s what’s on our 2025 Summer Bucket List:
🌴 Decorate for the 4th of July
🌴 Try some of the new brunch places in town
🌴 Take a wildflower scenic drive
🌴 Watch Fireworks on the 4th of July
🌴 Go swimming
🌴 Make homemade ice cream
🌴 Visit Ham Farm
🌴 Eat copious amounts of watermelon
🌴 Road trip weekends
🌴 Make s'mores
🌴 Find a sunflower field
🌴 Go to the beach
🌴 Lake days with family
🌴 Float the River
🌴 Visit Fredericksburg
🌴 Go camping at Mason, TX
🌴 Go to a Ranger game
🌴 Try a new recipe
🌴 Go to the Farmer's Market
🌴 Read a book
🌴 Cross some things off our Texas Bucketlist
🌴 Go to a festival
🌴 Chase some sunsets
🌴 Watch Mason's summer league hockey games
🌴 Go thrifting for summer pieces
🌴 Celebrate Mason's 15th birthday
🌴 Make a festive dish for the 4th of July weekend
🌴 Visit a new Texas town we've never visited
🌴 Go to Colorado!!!!!!
This list isn't about perfection...it’s about intention. We won’t stress if we don’t check every single box. Some of the best moments happen when plans change, and we just go with the flow. But having this list gives us something to look forward to and a way to say “yes” to more experiences together.
Here’s to ice cream, sunsets, road trips, and all the joy this season brings. Happy Summer, friends!
