For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to visit Branson at Christmas time. I've always seen pictures of how beautiful everything looks around this time of year and it looked like a place I needed to experience. Christmas is so special to my heart and my favorite time of year. So, this year we made that happen!!
We mentioned to our dear friends (the Garza's) that we were going and they were totally on board with us! I'm so grateful for friends that become family and love to adventure as much as you do. Nate, Mason, and I left Thursday evening after Thanksgiving & The Cowboys game. We wanted to get a jump on the drive since we were limited on time. Our friends got up super early Friday morning and met us at our hotel. It worked out great because they were able to use the restroom at our hotel and get the baby changed/dressed!
We had breakfast at Cracker Barrel and then we were on our way!! The part of the drive through Arkansas was just beautiful. There was a lookout, so we had to stop for pictures.
After snapping some photos, we were on our way! We got to the area before our hotel was ready, so we went straight to the largest Bass Pro in the US (Springfield, MO). We were some brave souls attempting this on Black Friday - but we survived!! It was so neat to see this Bass Pro in person! It was massive and decorated so pretty for Christmas.
We got to the Winter Wonderland area and saw that the sign for Santa said there were no appointments available for a week out! Luckily, Angel asked and the sweetest employee said "Oh yeah, just get in this line and we will squeeze you in in-between appointments!" There was hardly anyone in that line. We waited maybe only 5-10 minutes tops before our kiddos were visiting with the Jolly Ol' Saint Nick! The Santa area at Bass Pro Shops are always my favorite!
After finding a few great sale items, we checked out and headed toward the hotel. It was time for check-in and we needed to get ready for Silver Dollar City!!
