{Currently // June 2019}

Happy summer!! Oh, how I love that word...S U M M E R! I love having my boy at home with me and getting to kiss his sweet little face any time I want! I plan to make this the summer of fun, but mixed with a little (okay, a lot) of organizing. I blame Lindsay. :) She's inspired me to get my butt in order and organize all the things. But for now, let's take a look at what's currently going on.  Here is a look at what I am currently pickinggoingwishingwearing, and celebrating.

picking::

Apart every square inch of this house. I may not have gotten around to spring cleaning, but you can bet I will be summer (is that a thing?) cleaning. I'm ready to have this house as organized as can be before Mason starts 4th grade. Starting with my office and filing away everything that is 3rd grade  I'm excited to see how much I can get done over the summer. I work from home, so every free moment will be spent cleaning and organizing. I'm ready to clean out the clutter and simplify things.

going::

The better question is when are we not going? We are a family that is always on the go. We like to go and do and explore. We will fit in as many trips as we can this summer, even if they are just weekend trips. We are weekend road warriors, for sure. So far we have some camping trips planned, a trip to the coast, the smoky mountains planned for late summer and however much more we can fit in between those trips.

wishing::

That these sweet summer days go by so slowly and that we are able to just soak them up to the fullest! Why do the good days seem to pass by the quickest? We are also wishing on every single dandelion that we can get our hands on. Some see a weed, we see a wish. Always

wearing::

As little as I can possibly get away with. Ha! Don't worry, I'm not walking around naked. I'm a very modest person, but it's all about loose fitting and lightweight clothing in the summer. Its  Texas after all which means the temps will soon reach 110°, plus (with high humidity). You sweat in places you didn't even know you could sweat in. It's not pretty. We try to swim as much as possible to combat the heat, as well as eat all of the popsicles. ha

celebrating::

The end of another school year and the start of S U M M E R! Mason has completed 3rd grade and is getting ready for the 4th grade. This is a big move for us as he will go to a different school for 4th and 5th grade. We have to meet a whole new set of teachers and staff, learn the ways of this campus. and navigate through everything new. I know it will all be okay and that God will lead us through every step, but it's just the unknown that can be frightening. And of course I am talking about me...Mason's fine and ready. He has a bit of a grip on this school because he was bussed over to this location every Tuesday for his GT classes. That makes this mama feel better.
