{This Past Weekend // August // Pt 2}

When I sat down to write this post I had to think about what we did this weekend. It went by too fast and I'm sitting here wondering how it's already Sunday afternoon. Anyone else feel that way? I'm sure it felt super fast because the gray cloud that is school starting soon is looming overhead. And that wasn't the only cloud in the sky this weekend...it poured the majority of the weekend. I love rain, but on a weekday. Not the weekend when we're trying to live it up! Anyhow, here is a look at this past weekend...

This past Friday I worked, but Nate was off. He ran errands for me like getting an oil change and tires rotated. I love that man!

This past Friday we ate at Farmluck. It's our favorite little restaurant & soda fountain on the downtown square in our cute little town. As always, it did not disappoint. It was crowded, so we ate under a covered area outside. Good thing it was covered because it was pouring!! It was a chilly 73 degrees, too. At first, I was crabby about having to sit outside, but then the bell chimed in the town square and quickly changed my mood! So stinkin' cool!!

This past Friday we went to my cousin's 18th birthday party! It's so hard to believe that he's 18. I have always been super close with his mom {my aunt} and I was in the delivery room when he was born. Makes me feel so old! Anyhow, it was so great to be with all of my family. I love when we get together. Isn't family just the best? Oh, and I was too busy enjoying myself that I didn't take one single picture.

This past weekend my nephew came to spend the night with us after the party. Mason was ecstatic. He loves having company over.

This past Saturday I woke up bright and early at 8 am. I could tell the boys were still asleep in the living room, so I just hung out in bed catching up on social media and emails and such.

This past weekend I took the boys to the donut shop. We went to our normal donut shop, but as we were leaving the boys pointed out the new donut shop across the street. So I did what any fun mom/aunt would do and took them to the other donut shop as well! ha. And? We may have found a new favorite donut shop. It was so nice and cute on the inside and they had more specialty donuts, which the boys loved.

This past Saturday Mason and I went to a baby shower for our sweet neighbor friend. It was the cutest shower. I only took one picture and it was of balloons! haha. Oh wait, I did take a picture of the onesies I made to match the pants, bibs, and hats I bought at Target!

This past weekend Mason and I went to look at a loveseat that was for sale. Our friend's Grandfather used to own a furniture/upholstery shop and had one last loveseat for sale. It's only been in his office for 6 months. At only $75 bucks I couldn't pass this adorable loveseat up. I can't wait to redo my living room! I'm going to throw some farmhouse pillows on it and can't wait to see what it looks like.

This past weekend we ran by the store to grab some necessities. And by necessities, I clearly meant this skeleton. Ha! Mason loves Halloween and Fall as much as I do. He was carrying it around on his shoulders and said, "Look Ma, I am finally a dad!" haha. This kid cracks me up!

This past weekend Mason went to his Nana & Papa's house for a few hours. They were missing him and wanted to spend some time with him. So, date night for Nate and I. We tried to go to a Mexican food restaurant on the square, but it was already closed. So we tried the other location and it was closed as well. So we settled on TaMolly's. It wasn't bad. Of course I grabbed a photo before we left.

This past Sunday I woke up way too early. I turned off my alarm thinking I would be awake and not need it. Wrong. It was so dark and overcast that I fell back asleep and woke up too late for church. I was bummed!

This past weekend Mason and I went to Walmart to do our shopping for the week. BIG mistake. Big. It's no tax weekend and our Walmart thought it would be a great time to complete redo the entire store. It was difficult to find the things we needed because they weren't in the same spot we've known them to be in for the last 11 years. What a cluster!

This past weekend Mason and I came home, unloaded groceries, and ate some lunch while watching the movie "Monster Truck". I had never seen it. It was pretty cute!

This past weekend Nate, Mason and I joined our neighbor friends at our favorite restaurant ever, Ojeda's. We could never say no to good Mexican food and even better company.

How was your weekend?
