Happy Monday! I'm not sure how we got to Monday so quick, but I don't like it. The weekend flew by too fast. This was the first weekend in a long time that we didn't have but one solid plan and it was kind of amazing. Here's a look at this past weekend...
This past weekend we didn't do much of anything at all. Nate worked on the CJ 7 and we just hung out with neighbor friends. Nathan added an electric fan to the CJ to keep it from overheating. That was the excitement of our Friday! ha. But really, we enjoy tinkering with the Jeeps.
This past Friday Mason so sweetly played with our baby neighbor friend. They played in the water hose and went for a ride in Mason's power wheels truck. I love to hear Mason talk to him. It's so precious! They had a good ol' time and were soaked from head to toes.
This past weekend Mason played with the water hose for well over 2 hours. It was so awesome to see him bring it back to the simple joys of a water hose. He even asked me to take some pictures. Who am I to say no to that??
This past weekend some sweet friends of ours made us a CJ sign! It came out so good. So naturally, we had to take pictures of it with our CJ 7.
This past weekend Mason and I went to his district's back to school fair at the high school while Nate worked on the Jeep. As much as I don't want school to start I really do enjoy these back to school fairs! Our district goes all out. They have food trucks, a car show, vendors, uniform swap, free haircuts, free school supplies, etc. We go for the school 'spirit' shirts. Mason wears uniforms, but they let them wear any shirt with the school name, colors, or mascot on them. We stock up on those from the school fair. We also got to spend some time talking to Mason's third grade teacher. Or so we hope. We requested her pretty early on so I am praying we got her. She's so sweet and really got Mason excited for third grade.
This past weekend we went to Oma's...our favorite little diner! Mason had mentioned the other day that he missed Oma's and so we surprised him by taking him to lunch there. It's the best little burger place around and you can't beat the staff or atmosphere.
This past weekend I took Mason to the movies to see Teen Titans Go To the Movies while Nate took the CJ to a friends house to finish up the fan work. In case you were wondering or had any doubts, the movie was awful. It was so cheesy and just plum boring. Oh well, we still had a good time just being together.
This past weekend Mason and I went and did our grocery shopping for the week. I think I may switch up my routine to Saturday early evenings because there was no one there! It was so nice.
This past weekend we did nothing much for the rest of the evening. We hung out at home and then went for a late night snack of ice cream from Braums.
This past weekend I woke up with a terrible stomach ache. My stomach has not been right since we got home from our trip. I think my body is telling me to get back to the mountains!! ha. But, we missed church because I was feeling so blah.
This past weekend Nathan and I started a show on Netflix while waiting on Mason to wake up.
This past weekend Nathan and I deep cleaned the house. It had been needing it for a while since we went on so many trips this summer. It was nice to just stay home, eat lunch & supper at home and chill. It's been a while since we have done that. Looking forward to doing more of that this week.
