{New Mexico Vacation // Day 3}

Day three of our New Mexico vacation gets is own post because I took so many pictures! It was a busy, but really good day for us. We were blessed with the opportunity to watch horse races at Ruidoso Downs in the Jockey Club. Nate's mom's friend's dad works in the Jockey Club and he got all 12 of us in for the day. The horse races was not something we had planned on doing, but we were excited for the opportunity.

The Jockey Club is a prestigious thing and women are expected to dress up and and men are to wear collared shirts. Well, all of us ladies packed for a mountain/adventure vacation and brought nothing to wear to races. So, we had to go shopping. The only thing we found was Walmart, but we all found some great stuff. We got to the horse races around 11:30 and stayed until 4:30ish. We had a really good time. Mason liked it as well. Especially because his Nana and Papa kept giving him dollars. He racked up 12 dollars during the day! None of us won really big, but we did have fun.

After the races we went back to the campsites to hang out and get supper started. After supper a group of us decided to take a mountain drive on one of the forestry trails that we saw while we were out and about. And, it was the most incredible sunset mountain drive ever. The views were spectacular and it was so relaxing. It also made me fully realize that I need to live in the mountains. Probably not New Mexico, but Colorado. I don't think I could ever grow tired of seeing the beauty of the mountains! God's handywork. Oh how amazing it is.

Sorry, I know there are a million pictures of the mountains, but I just love them! I don't know how anyone can look at the mountains and not believe in God. I just can't.
