{Waxahachie Wednesday // Upcoming Events}

It’s time for another Waxahachie Wednesday! One of my favorite things about living here is the way our little town comes alive in the fall. There’s just something about cooler mornings, small-town charm, and community events that makes this season extra sweet. From vintage trucks and farm life to art festivals and live country music, there’s no shortage of fun coming up in Waxahachie. I pulled together a list of a few can’t-miss events happening soon so you can mark your calendars and join in on the seasonal magic…

September:

C10s in the Park

  • Date: Saturday, September 20

  • Location: Getzendaner Park

  • What to Expect: Classic GM (“C10”) truck show — over 1,000 vintage trucks, plus live music, vendors, and then later the “Party on the Square.” If you love big trucks, nostalgia, and community vibe, this is one you won’t want to miss.

Farm Heritage Day

  • Date: Sunday, September 21

  • Location: Ellis County Rural Heritage Farm (130 Cunningham Meadows Road)

  • What to Expect: Hayrides, animals, vendors, old-farm-life displays. Great for families and kids. A chance to slow down and enjoy what fall on the farm feels like.

October:

OddFest

  • Date: Saturday, October 4

  • Location: Singleton Plaza (200 N. Rogers St.)

  • What to Expect: Art + music + food vendors + good oddities. Fun for people who like something a little different, creative, and community-driven.

Crossroads of Texas GO TEXAN Country Festival

  • Date: Saturday, October 25

  • Time: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM

  • Location: Downtown Waxahachie, 100 W Main St.

  • What to Expect: This is one of the biggest single-day festivals in Texas. Over 200 booths featuring Texas artisans & food vendors, music on 10+ stages, a main stage headliner (Randall King this year), GO TEXAN products, and just tons of small-town Texas pride. Great fall weather event.

Why These Events are Special:

  • Community Vibe: Waxahachie’s events have that small-town warmth...neighbors, families, local vendors, and artists.

  • Seasonal Magic: These fall events bring what I love about this time of year...cooler mornings, outdoor music, pumpkin or harvest tones, everything feels cozier.

  • Something for Everyone: Whether you like trucks, art, heritage, country music, or just being outside, there’s a something here you’ll enjoy.

Pro Tips & Things to Know:

  • Arrive early for the big festivals & concerts. Parking can fill up!

  • Weather in October is usually more forgiving...bring layers for evening events.

  • If you go to vendor or craft-market style events, bring cash. Some vendors might be cash only.

  • For family events, check for kid-friendly amenities (restrooms, shade, food options) so everyone can enjoy

And that’s a wrap on some of the fun coming up in Waxahachie this fall! I love how our town blends small-town charm with big community events… there’s truly something for everyone. Whether you’re into classic trucks, farm life, quirky art, or country music under the Texas sky, you’ll find a little piece of autumn magic here. If you plan on going to any of these, I’d love to hear about it, and if you’re local, maybe I’ll see you there! Until next time, happy fall, y’all.
