{From the Front Porch // You Never Know…}

Written on 8/19

One of the things I’ve been reminded of lately is just how powerful our daily choices can be. The little things we do...the ones we might not even think twice about...can ripple out further than we’ll ever know.

You never know who might be encouraged to spend time in the Word when they see you open your Bible or share a verse that touched your heart.

You never know whose day could be completely turned around by a simple “Jesus loves you” reminder.

You never know who might be curious about Jesus when they see you check in at church every Sunday or share a note from the sermon.

You never know who is silently struggling and just needs to see a glimpse of God’s love through your kindness, your smile, or the way you live your faith out loud.

You never know the seeds you’re planting when you share your story, your worship, your prayers, or even your struggles.

And isn’t that the goal? To point others to Jesus? To lead our loved ones—and even strangers—closer to Him so that one day we can spend eternity together in Heaven? That’s the heartbeat of the Gospel. That’s what Kingdom-building looks like.

Scripture reminds us in Matthew 5:16, “In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

Our light doesn’t have to be flashy or perfect. It just has to point to Jesus. Every post, every word, every action has the potential to shine His light into someone’s darkness.

So today, let’s be Kingdom builders. Let’s live in a way that leaves no doubt about who we belong to. Let’s love big, speak truth, and trust that God will use it all for His glory.

From my front porch to yours... may you always feel the nearness of God, the beauty in the ordinary, and joy in the little things.
