One of my favorite things about thrifting is when you finally find that one item you’ve been hunting for. You know the feeling...you walk into a thrift store, not sure what treasures you’ll find, and there it is… the exact thing you’ve had on your wish list for months. That happened to me recently, and I couldn’t wait to share the little project I’ve been dreaming about.
For the longest time, I’ve wanted to try DIY fridge magnet frames. I love having photos on the refrigerator, but let’s be honest...sometimes they get messy or cluttered looking. A frame makes them feel intentional, cozy, and just plain cute. So when I stumbled across this little 4-pack of gold frames at the thrift store, I knew they were perfect for this project.
The Easiest DIY Ever
This DIY is so simple, you can make it in less than 5 minutes:
Take your thrifted frame (or any small frame you love).
Remove the little stand on the back (most just snap off easily).
Hot glue a strong magnet to the back.
Pop in your photo and stick it to the fridge.
That’s it. Seriously. So easy, but so stinkin’ cute!
Why I Love This Project
Budget-Friendly: Thrifted frames are inexpensive and often have more character than new ones.
Customizable: You can paint or spray the frames any color to match your kitchen or seasonal décor.
Sentimental: It’s such a sweet way to keep family photos, vacation memories, or even Scripture cards right where you’ll see them every day.
Expandable: I can’t wait to thrift more frames to build a whole collection. Imagine a fridge full of framed memories!
I’m so excited about how this little project turned out. It’s one of those easy DIYs that brings a lot of joy without taking a lot of time. Next time you’re at a thrift store, keep your eye out for small frames...you might just end up with your own collection of fridge gallery-worthy magnet frames.
Have you ever tried something like this? I’d love to see your DIY fridge frames or hear about your favorite thrifted craft projects.
