{Beach Bound Bucket List // Freeport, Galveston & Surfside, TX Edition}

The countdown is ON! We’re packing up for a few salty, sunny, soul-refreshing days along the Texas coast...and I couldn’t be more excited. We’ll be spending our time in Freeport, but we’re just a hop, skip, and a jump away from Galveston and Surfside Beach, too. That means triple the adventure, triple the exploring, and (hopefully) triple the peace.

We’re staying in a dreamy beach house right on the marina with its own private pool and outdoor space... basically our own little oasis for the week. But y’all know me…I love a good bucket list. So I’ve rounded up everything we want to see, do, eat, and soak in while we’re on our coastal getaway.

Freeport / Galveston / Surfside Beach Bucket List

1. Watch the sunrise or sunset over the water 

2. Hunt for seashells or shark teeth

3. Build a sandcastle 

4. Take beach photos with sandy toes

5. Go fishing off the Jetty or Marina

6. Float the day away in the pool

7. Watch the boats come in and out of the marina

8. Have a lazy lunch picnic/charcuterie by the pool

9. Read a book 

10. Do my Bible study outdoors

11. Go Crabbing

12. Recreate some photos from the last time we were there

13. Go out for seafood (maybe try something new)

14. Go to Surfin' Ritas 

15. Write our names in the sand

16. Play card or board games with the family

17. Take sunset pictures

18. Journal a few of my favorite moments from each day/night

19. Listen to a worship play-list while watching the water

20. Make a family "trip highlight reel" with photos and videos

21. Go to a beach shop

22. Bring and actually use my big camera

From sand between our toes to seafood on our plates, I just know this is going to be a trip filled with memories, laughter, and rest. If you've been to Freeport, Galveston, or Surfside and have any recommendations, let me know.
