{Thankful Thursday // Week Two}

Happy Thursday, friends!

We’re already into the second week of November, and I’m still amazed at how quickly this year is flying by. I’ve been trying to slow down a little more lately, to savor the cozy evenings, the cool Texas air, and all of the little things that make this season so special. It’s so easy to rush ahead toward the holidays, but I don’t want to miss what God’s doing right here, right now.

Like I mentioned last week, I’m spending each Thursday this month sharing five things I’m thankful for...a simple list, but one that helps me reflect and refocus my heart. Gratitude really does shift our perspective. So here’s what I’m thankful for this week...

1. Answered Prayers

Sometimes God’s answers come quietly...in small, unexpected ways that you only notice when you slow down. This week, I’ve seen a few of those little prayers come to life. Nothing big or flashy, but clear reminders that He hears me. And even when His timing looks different than mine, His plan is always better.

2. Cozy Evenings at Home

The darker evenings have me craving all things cozy...candles lit, twinkle lights glowing, soup simmering on the stove, and my favorite blanket on the couch. There’s just something about this time of year that makes home feel like a hug. I’ve been soaking up quiet nights in with my boys, a good movie or hockey on the TV, and the sound of laughter filling the house.

3. Hockey Life

Being a hockey mom will forever be one of my favorite blessings. Watching Mason do something he loves, grow as a player, and build friendships that feel like family...it fills my heart right up. Even the late nights at the rink are worth every second. And when they come out with a win? It’s just icing on the cake.

4. Community & Friendship

Whether it’s friends we see weekly at church or our close circle who always show up for the little things...I’m just so grateful for the people God has placed in our lives. The ones who check in, pray for us, laugh with us, and love us like family. True community is such a gift, and I don’t take it lightly.

5. The Little Joys

Sunsets that stop me in my tracks. Fresh coffee in the morning. A new worship song that hits just right. Getting creative with a DIY project. Finding treasures at the thrift store. Those little joys that make up everyday life...I’m learning that’s where so much of God’s goodness hides.

This season of gratitude has me reflecting more deeply on just how faithful God has been, not just in the mountaintop moments, but in the simple, ordinary ones too. Gratitude changes everything, doesn’t it?

So tell me, friend... what are you thankful for this week? I’d love to hear what’s making your heart full lately.

Until next time, wishing you a peaceful, thankful Thursday filled with little moments of joy and grace.
