Happy Thursday, friends!
As the leaves keep falling and the days grow shorter, my heart feels extra full of gratitude lately. I don’t ever want to rush through this season without pausing to truly soak in the goodness of God and the blessings He’s tucked into my days. Big ones, small ones, the everyday-in-between ones... they all matter.
So, for the month of November, I thought it’d be sweet to start a little series here on Hall Around Texas... “Thankful Thursday.” Each week, I’ll share five things I’m thankful for...a simple, reflective list of moments, people, and graces that made my week a little brighter. Because even in the chaos, there’s always something to be thankful for.
Here’s what I’m thankful for this week...
1. God’s Steadfast Peace
It’s been one of those weeks where my mind has been racing and my to-do list feels never-ending... but through it all, the Lord keeps reminding me that peace isn’t found in having everything done, it’s found in Him. I’ve had some really sweet quiet time in the mornings lately... Bible open, worship softly playing, the house still...and those moments have carried me through. His peace truly passes all understanding.
2. My People
Family time will always be my favorite time. Between hockey, work, and life’s busyness, I’m extra thankful for slow evenings at home...dinners together, laughter echoing through the house, and the simple joy of just being together. God has blessed me beyond measure with Nate and Mason, and I never take that for granted.
3. Cooler Weather
Y’all, it finally feels like fall in Texas! The 70s and 60s have me in my happiest mood...the windows are open, the candles are lit, and the cozy sweaters have made their grand return. There’s just something about this season that feels like a deep breath after a long summer.
4. Creative Outlets
Whether it’s crafting, thrifting, or creating something for the blog or TikTok, I’m so thankful for the little creative spaces where I can unwind and express myself. Lately, I’ve been in a full-on DIY mood...I even transformed some items recently, and it was just so fun. I can't wait to share. I love how creativity connects me to joy and purpose in such a simple way.
5. God’s Creation
From breathtaking sunsets to crunchy leaves on the ground, the beauty of this season has been showing off lately. Every morning and evening, I’m reminded that the same God who paints the skies with color also cares deeply for us. I never want to stop being amazed by that.
There’s something powerful about writing down what we’re thankful for...it shifts your focus, softens your heart, and opens your eyes to just how faithful God really is. I’d love to hear what you’re thankful for this week, too. Drop a few in the comments so we can celebrate together.
Until next time, friends... may your Thursday be filled with gratitude, peace, and cozy fall goodness.
