{THANKSGIVING AT THE HALLS // 2023}

 Thanksgiving at the Halls was such a sweet and special time. There’s nothing quite like gathering with family—sharing stories, laughter, and of course, a table full of incredible food. Every dish was made with love, and let me tell you, we all left with full hearts and full plates!

{Friendsgiving 2023}

We had our very first annual Friendsgiving this year—and it was everything we hoped for and more. What started as a simple idea turned into a night full of warmth, laughter, and love. This incredible group of friends has become like family to us, and we're so grateful for the bond we've built together.

{Thanksgiving // 2022}

We had a lovely Thanksgiving this year. We celebrated the holiday at Nate's parent's house with his entire family, aunt, and Grandmother. It was a sweet day filled with precious moments. I didn't get to see my parents & siblings this year and while that made me a bit sad, I knew they were exactly where they needed to be. My dad was in Tennessee celebrating Thanksgiving with his dad. I know that filled his heart to the brim and so my heart was happy for them. We weren't able to travel to Tennessee this year due to work. I had to work Mon-Wednesday and then had to work 3-4 hours on Thanksgiving morning. My heart was there in spirit!

Nenaw & her boys

{Thanksgiving with NeNaw // 2022}

Last week, Mason, Nate, and I were blessed to go to Nate's Grandmother's Thanksgiving dinner at her assisted living. They only allowed 4 guests per resident, but because Nate's mom is a volunteer there, we were able to bring Mason as well. He started not feeling well though and ended up going out to the Jeep to lie down. We know now that he was getting a cold. Anyhow, the dinner and the evening was just wonderful. I love any chance we get to have family time.

{Bits of Gratitude // Week 3}

Happy Thankful Thursday!! Another beautiful day to reflect on five things I am grateful for this week!

{Bits of Gratitude // Week 2}

 Happy Thankful Thursday!! Time to share five things that I am thankful for this week.

{Bits of Gratitude // Week 1}

 Happy "Thankful Thursday", y'all! I am going to take Thursdays this month to list 5 things I am grateful for this week!

{Nashville Nights and Memphis Mornings}

My Grandparents live only a couple of hours from Nashville so Nate, Mason, and I made the trek over for an evening! I've been to Nashville many times, but Nate and Mase had never been. I'm so glad we made the drive over because we had the most amazing time!!

{Tennessee - Reelfoot Lake, Trimble TN, and the Lights at Discovery Park of America}

 On one of our days in Tennessee, we spent time exploring the area. Visiting Reelfoot lake was always a staple for us when in the area, so we had to introduce the newest members of our family to it. They have a nature center, a boardwalk, a gift shop, etc. We used to love coming here as kids!

(Thanksgiving 2020 // Part 2 // Tennessee}

 Part two of our Thanksgiving was spent in Tennessee visiting my dad's side of the family! My Grandparents (dad's parents) live in a tiny town in the northwestern corner of Tennessee. It's a little over a 9-hour drive for us, but certainly not a bad drive. When my siblings and I were younger we used to go a couple times a year to visit, but now that we all have families of our own it's harder to get up there that often. Before last week, it had been 5 years since we've been to TN. That's way too long if you ask me!

{Thanksgiving 2020 // Part 1}

 Let me preface this by saying our Thanksgiving this year was just amazing!!! We got to spend time with both my mom's side and my dad's side of the family. It's been YEARS since that has happened. The core of my mom's side of the family is here local, but my dad's side is pretty spread out across the globe! While we were missing several, we did enjoy the time we got to spend with those that were able to make it! We just missed Thanksgiving with the Hall side. We missed them terribly! It's so hard to be with everyone during the holidays.

Our first Thanksgiving was spent with my mom's side of the family on Sunday, November 22nd. We all gathered at my aunt's house for a fabulous feast and amazing fellowship! My dad gathered everyone for a family photo...

{Thanksgiving 2019}

I know, I know...things are a little backward on my blog! Christmas festivities before Thanksgiving...that's just how we roll! We have to fit it all in somehow. But, that doesn't mean we don't enjoy our Thanksgiving. We really do.

{Happy Thanksgiving 2018 // 18 things I am thankful for}

Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours! I hope that you have an amazing day with the ones you love most! This year we are having lunch with Nathan's family at 12:00 and then supper with my mom's side of the family at 6:00. We got super lucky this year with the two events being spread out enough!

{Happy Thanksgiving}

From our family to yours! I hope you have an amazing day filled with your favorite foods and with the ones you love most!!

{Thanksgiving Scavenger Hunt}

I'm not sure how your Thanksgivings go, but ours is usually filled with adults watching the Dallas Cowboy game or adults playing cards. I wanted to create an activity for Mason {and the other kids} to do. So, I made a Thanksgiving scavenger hunt and wanted to share it here in case you needed a fun little activity as well. Enjoy and have a very Happy Thanksgiving!

{Happy Thanksgiving // A special day for our Diesel boy!!}

Not only is today Thanksgiving, it's also a very special day in our household. Two years ago today God answered our prayers and brought our sweet Diesel boy back home to us! {To read Diesel's story click here. And for his 1 year home post click here.} Diesel has quite the testimony and truly is a miracle pup. We are so grateful for his little life and for his return home. God is so, so good.
