{Waxahachie Wednesdays // Favorite Local Coffee Shops for Fall Drinks}

Around here, “pumpkin spice season” is practically its own holiday, and our local coffee shops never disappoint when it comes to creative fall drinks. Whether you’re a die-hard pumpkin spice latte fan or just looking for something warm and cozy to sip while strolling downtown, here’s my Waxahachie-style round-up of favorite spots for fall coffee.

 Fresh Market Coffee

Located right on the square, Fresh Market Coffee always feels like home. Their pumpkin spice latte is classic, creamy, and not too sweet—perfect for sipping while browsing the antique shops nearby. If pumpkin isn’t your thing, they usually roll out a caramel apple cider that tastes like fall in a cup.

White Rhino Coffee

White Rhino has become a Waxahachie staple, and their seasonal menu is always fun to try. The pumpkin spice latte is a favorite, but don’t sleep on their maple brown sugar latte if you want something different. Pair it with one of their pastries, and you’re set for a cozy morning.

College Street Coffee House

This little gem is tucked inside a historic home, and it’s one of my favorite places to slow down and linger. Their pumpkin spice chai latte is the star of the season—spicy, sweet, and perfect for sipping on the porch with friends. The vibe here feels like you’ve stepped back in time, which makes it extra special.

Dove’s Nest

Okay, so Dove’s Nest may be best known for their boutique and café lunches, but their coffee bar deserves a little love too. Their seasonal lattes are delicious, and grabbing one to go before wandering through the store makes for a perfect fall outing.

Vita Coffee House

If you’re looking for a modern coffee spot with a peaceful atmosphere, Vita Coffee is the place. Their fall lineup is always creative... think banana bread lattes, pumpkin chai, PB latte, and cozy other blends like a sopapilla latte. I love how their drinks balance flavor without being overly sweet, and the staff is always so friendly and intentional. The natural light, minimalist décor, and calming playlist make it a perfect spot to journal, read your Bible, or just take a quiet break in the middle of a busy week. It’s one of those spots that feels like a deep breath... peaceful, cozy, and very “Waxahachie in the fall.”

There’s something about coffee shops that just capture the spirit of Waxahachie...local owners, friendly baristas, and drinks made with care. Supporting these small businesses while enjoying the flavors of fall feels like a win-win. Plus, it’s the best excuse to get out and enjoy our charming downtown while the weather is crisp and the leaves are changing.

So next time you’re craving a pumpkin spice latte, skip the drive-thru and make it a Waxahachie coffee crawl instead. Who knows? You might just find a new favorite fall tradition.

Do you have a go-to fall drink? Pumpkin spice, chai, or something totally different?
