{Wednesday Hodgepodge //

It’s time for another round of Wednesday Hodgepodge...one of my favorite ways to share a little peek into what’s on my heart and what’s happening around here. Let’s jump right in!

Linking up with Joyce.

{A Charm Bracelet Full of Memories // And a Texas Cause}

Here lately I’ve found myself falling back in love with so many of the things that once brought me immense joy...blogging, picking up my camera again, and most recently, something I used to wear almost daily… my charm bracelet.

This charm bracelet is so much more than a piece of jewelry...it’s like a wearable scrapbook of my life, one that has been 28+ years in the making.

{Wednesday Hodgepodge}

I have so much Colorado content to share but until I can sort through it all...

Linking up with Joyce at From This Side of the Pond for a fun round of Wednesday Hodgepodge! I always love reading everyone's answers and reflecting on these thoughtful (and sometimes light-hearted!) prompts. Here's what we are sharing this week...

{Roadtrippin' // Kincaid's Burger // Fort Worth, TX}

Sometime early last week, Nate sent Mason and me a Tik Tok about Kincaid's burgers in Fort Worth! It had been on our radar all week because it looked so amazing. Saturday after hockey we decided to give it a try...

{Not Just a Mom link-up // What's in my Handbag??}

Happy Tuesday! Linking up with Dara, Adrienne, Jen, Joanne, Lauren, and Sarah for the "Not Just a Mom" series. Today we are sharing what's in our handbags! This link-up went live - but I usually share our weekend on Mondays.

{An August 2021 photo dump}

 When transferring my photos from my iCloud to my external hard drive, I noticed so many pictures that deserved a permanent spot here on my blog. While they may not warrant a full blog post, I want them here. So, here's a random dump of moments from August.

{Dallas Cowboy game // December 29th}

Our sister in law won 2 tickets to the Dallas Cowboy game on 12/29 and wasn't able to attend. She asked if Nathan and I wanted the tickets! I had never been to an NFL game and Nate had only been to a play-off game. Neither of us has watched a football game at the new stadium so we were excited! We went to church and then hung out with Mason a bit before the game. We only had 2 tickets so he went to the movies with his Nana while we were at the game. I was excited to have a little date with my man!

{Let's look at // my calendar}

This is my first time linking up with the "Let's look at" series! This month we are looking at our calendars! It's no secret that I am a paper loving calendar gal. I've tried so many different calendar apps on my phone, but I just can't. I mean, it would make sense to just use an app since I always have my phone on me. But, I am a paper calendar loving fool!!

{TBB Asks // March // Beauty}

I'm just a tad bit late on posting this. ha! I always enjoy these TBB asks posts, so better late than never, right? Here are my answers to this month's questions...

{From the cutting room floor // What we've been up to}

Since my blogging hiatus I feel like I have so much to catch up on. My camera roll is about 5200 pictures deep and so many of them have not been shared anywhere. Today I wanted to share some pictures from the cutting room floor and what we have been up to the last few months. This is going to be the most random post, so bare with me!

{TBB Asks // August}

The sweet ladies at The Blended Blog have created another round of this or that questions and I thought it would be fun to join in. I missed the last one, so I was excited to get to do this one. Here are my answers..

{Ten things I am bad & good at}

My friend Dara at Not in Jersey recently posted about 10 things she was good at and 10 things she was not good at. I thought it would be fun to join in with her. I have to say, it was much easier coming up with the things I am bad at than it was the things I am good at! The last three things on my good list took me forever to come up with. ha! It's true that we are always our own worst critic, huh? Anyhow, here is my list...

{Five Things bringing me joy right now}

Time for another round of five things that are bringing me joy right now. I wrote a post like this a few months ago {H E R E} and I decided I want to do this every couple of months. Life often gets busy or mundane and so I want to focus on the happy. A heart check, if you will.

{Taking Stock}

{Five things that are bringing me joy right now}

We wrapped up a bible study at church about true joy and how it's God's will for us to experience joy. It is so easy to feel weighed down by drudgery & everyday things and so I want to document the things that are bringing me joy right now. I hope to do this every so often. Today I am sharing five things that are currently bringing me joy.

{Five on Friday}

Happy Friday! This week actually seemed to fly by pretty quick. I'm not mad about it. We had a pretty good week. Monday was exciting because the tooth fairy came and we got to do a little shopping at Target, Tuesday was a special day at Mason's school {more below}, Wednesday was church, Thursday came and went and now it's Friday! Whoop, whoop. Tonight we are going to Six Flags and Mason is having his best friend come with us and spend the night. He is beyond excited. Time for Five on Friday...

{My Current Worship Playlist}

It's no secret that I love worship music! I work at home M-F and so more often than not I will crank up worship music on our Bluetooth speaker throughout the day. Worship music moves me down deep in my soul and helps me to not feel so alone. I love it so much! I thought I would share my current playlist with you all! Enjoy!

{What's in my bag?}

What's in my Michael Kors Tote?

Joining in with Momfessionals for What's in my Bag? I love posts like these. I'm always curious to see what kind of purses/bags others are carrying, how they organize (or don't) and what all they carry in their bags.

I recently just picked up this Michael Kors bag (I can't find the exactly one online, but there are similar totes) for the summer months. The color just screamed summer to me and I love totes. Especially when travelling. They are easy and roomy enough to throw in those extra items you wouldn't normally carry. Two things worth mentioning - 1.) I'm not carrying as much as I normally carry because I cleaned it out when I bought it last week, and 2.) it tends to get a little messy after the weekends because I am always throwing in things on the go. Anyhow...here's what's inside my bag...

And I forgot to open the inside zipper in which I have:
Glasses cleaner & lens cloth
Advil
Hand sanitzer

{March in Numbers}

March was a roller coast month for me as far as emotions go. It was a season of intense heartache {more on this to come}, but also a season of beautiful growth in so many areas. While some days felt like they were never ending the month still seemed to fly by. Here is a little glimpse of what we were up to in March.

19 // # of posts to the blog in March // some of my favorites were 10 things I am grateful for, The Kids Behind the Blog link-up, Our DIY Leprechaun Trap, Our St Patty's Day Shenanigans, Easter 2016, and our Easter Basket Link-up!

574 # of pictures taken // {I counted after I did a massive photo cleanup off of my phone, so there were actually more}

28 // # of photos posted to Instagram // 28

14 // # of days Mason was on green {good behavior} at school // this is big!

3 # of days Mason was on red {bad behavior} at school // again, big. I haven't shared it on the blog much, but Mason has adhd and gets in trouble for things like talking {non-stop}, not sitting still, not staying in line, not staying on task, etc.  So when I say bad behavior its those things.

4 # of Sundays we attended at our new church //  we didn't miss a service this month! We are truly loving our new church home.

1.5 # of camping trips // {I still need to blog about our other camping trip}

2 # of storms I survived // {this is a big deal because they give me major anxiety}

1 # of soccer games // we won! Read about it here.

3 # of soccer practices

4 # egg hunts attended

3 # of Easter services attended

1 # of ER visits

2 # of doctor visits

That's our month in numbers! Looking forward to what April brings us. How was your March? Anything exciting happen?

{10 on Tuesday // 10 Things I love about Target // $10 to Target}

I love Tuesdays and linking up with Karli for 10 on Tuesday!!

10 things I love about Target...

1 // The dollar spot! I don't feel like an explanation is needed, but I am going to give one anyway. Seriously...if you are able to walk into Target and not even stop by the dollar spot then you might be a robot, or something. Kidding of course! But, I love the Target dollar spot. It's so awesome for so many things. I love their seasonal items for adding little touches around my house. And all of the little things you can use for stocking stuffers, or filling an Easter basket, etc. And I love that they started adding some farmhouse type items, too! I'm such a sucker for the Target dollar spot.

2 // They have the best clearance! Things get marked down so dirt cheap at Target. It's like winning a little lotto when you find clothing under $10 or sometimes even under $5 bucks!

3 // The check-out lines are never long. They actually have more than 3 cashiers working at a time {ahem, Walmart}.  Although I could browse the Target aisles for hours, it is our go-to for a quick in and out. Like if we just need to grab one thing, a quick gift or a card.

4 // They have Starbucks for mom. Starbucks and Target? Definitely a winning combination.

5 // And Icee's for Mason. He loves those things.

6 // They actually have a pretty decent section for boys clothing. I don't know why, but the girls section is always better in every darn store. But Target has been a win for us lately. Mason is kind of in the middle of the babies/toddlers section and the bigger boys section right now. He can still wear some of the 5T clothing in the toddler section and the xs or small in the boys. I am loving having more options.

7 // They have a food too. So I can grocery shop and browse through Target all in one trip.

8 // The Target cartwheel and Red Card discounts. Saving is saving and I have saved quite a bit using these two things!

9 // It's always clean. Always. I have never once been into our target and thought, ugh this is nasty. It's always organized too.

10 // The make-up section is awesome. I will admit, sometimes I can spend 20-30 minutes just in the beauty section!

Today it's all about Target. I am also linking up with Becky at bybmg  and friends for $10 at Target. I have always loved Becky's $10 Target trips and got so excited when she made it a linkup. I failed miserably last month {post here}, and kind of failed again this month. But, not because I spent too much. I had totaled the items in my basket and it was $9 worth, plus tax. But after I checked out my total was only $6.17. I watched her scan everything, so I just thought something was on clearance that I wasn't anticipating. But then I got home and checked over my receipt again and noticed that she didn't charge me for the magazine holder. And now I feel bad. I know that she at least tried to scan it because it was awkward and she was having trouble. I guess it didn't scan when she thought it did. Ooops! Anyhow, here is what I got:

Magazine holder
2 packs of file folders
Spring notepad
Gel pens

I needed the organizer and file folders to get things organized. Our lives have been so crazy lately and it's about to get so busy. I need some organization in my life. And the gel pens...if you see these at your Target, grab them! They right so smooth and are the prettiest colors. You never know what you're going to get with gel pens, but I am glad I took a chance with these! And I plan to write Mason lunchbox notes on the cute notepad.

Happy Tuesday! Are you linking up with either of these two fun link-ups? I'd love to see your post!
