{Christmas Cheer Checklist // 2025}

There’s just something about the Christmas season that pulls me right back to the things that matter most… Jesus, family, slow moments, soft lights, cozy corners, and traditions that make our hearts feel full. Every December I try to be intentional, to slow down enough to soak in the goodness instead of rushing through it. Today I am sharing our Christmas Cheer Checklist 2025… a little guide full of joy-filled, simple, meaningful things that help me savor the season instead of sprinting through it. I hope it inspires you to create your own moments of wonder this year.

  • Trim the Tree
  • Decorate the outside of the house (lights, porch, cedar posts)
  • Deck the halls
  • Read Luke 1 & 2
  • Annual family Christmas day (Nate & I take off and we do something festive with Mase)
  • Annual ladies baking party
  • Ride the Polar Express
  • Go camping
  • DIY Gingerbread houses
  • Go to Bethlehem Revisited
  • Annual cookie baking night
  • Have a festive dinner at home
  • Drive around and look at Christmas lights
  • Make a dried orange garland
  • DIY my mantle garland (it needs  a love)
  • DIY Thrifted picture frames
  • Attend Christmas Eve candlelight service
  • Read our Scripture Advent

As I look over this year’s Christmas bucket list, I’m reminded that the sweetest parts of the season aren’t found in the hustle, but in the moments that feel like home… trimming the tree, decking the halls, making dried orange garland, crafting gingerbread houses, and giving my mantle garland a little DIY love. It’s the traditions that anchor us… our annual family Christmas day off with Nate and Mase, the ladies baking party, cookie night, camping trips, and festive dinners that make us slow down and smile. It’s the memories...driving around to see lights, stepping into Bethlehem Revisited, riding the Polar Express, DIY'ing thrifted treasures, and soaking in every flicker of advent Scripture...that makes December feel holy. And most of all, it’s the heart behind it… reading Luke 1 & 2, lighting candles on Christmas Eve, and remembering that every bit of this joy points back to Jesus. Here’s to a season full of intention, presence, cozy moments, and Christ at the very center of it all.
