Our Christmas tree campout is a tradition that Mason and I started several years ago! We bring an air mattress into the living room, put on our favorite Christmas pajamas, and settle in for all of our favorite Christmas movies by the glow of the Christmas tree. It's such a special and magical time that I cherish so much! I am so thankful that my growing boy still loves to do this with me. I am holding on as long as I can and tucking each moment into my heart.
Normally, we watch all of the Home Alone movies during our Christmas tree campout, but this year we opted for Christmas Chronicles. We watched all of part 1 and then fell asleep in the middle of part 2. We were so sleepy! However, our air mattress must have had a slow leak and we kept losing air. I had to keep adding air to our mattress. At one point, Lexi jumped onto the air mattress, and Mason and I fell to the middle. It was 2:30 am and I knew that Nate was waking up shortly for work. So I told Mason lets hold tight for a little while longer and then we'd go to my room to catch some sleep! We still had a great time and made a note to get a new air mattress before next year's campout.
