{Thursday Confessions}

Goodness! It's 11:41 am and I am just now getting to start this post. My two co-workers are travelling this week so that leaves me to cover for all of us. This is also why there was no post for yesterday! It's been busy, to say the least. I am counting down the minutes until Friday at 4pm. Joining in for a little Thursday confessing!

I confess...

...the only times I have left the house this week were for karate on Mon & Wednesday. And that was for an hour each. I had pajamas on up until about 30 minutes before we left and then put them right back on after! This week has left me exhausted and I just want to be on the couch catching up on shows! I know that come weekend I will be ready to get on up out of here!

...before I left for vacation I drafted and scheduled so many posts so that the blog wasn't quiet while we were gone. Now I have only 3 drafted posts left. It felt so much better to have posts scheduled and not scrambling to get one done the day off. I have tons of ideas and things I need to blog about, but...time. One day I will be caught up again. One day.

...Mason's Nana is taking him to the movies today to see Ghostbusters. I am so jealous! But, I'm excited for him to spend time with her.

...I'm totally dependent on Diet Dr. Pepper again. Ugh. I blame it on the events of the last few weeks.

...We have a back to school fair on Saturday at the High School! I'm half looking forward to it and half dreading it. The nerd in me loves all things back to school, but the mother in me isn't ready for her baby to go back to school.

...At least we have a fun adventure planned for after the back to school fair to remind me that we still have some summer left to live!

...I'm enjoying watching Mason do karate so very much! I mean, how cute is he? (and how fun is the Boomerang app?)

{Thursday Confessions}

Man oh man! Where did this week go? I feel like we have been on the go since before our weekend trip to the Texas Hill Country! We got back and hit the ground running! Its the last week of school  which means; end of the year teacher gifts, Kindergarten promotion assembly, end of the year awards, early releases, etc. It all happened so fast. And now I am so behind on anything. I promise to catch up on blogs soon. But for now, time for Thursday confessions...

...It is 2:15 pm and I am just starting this post. I feel like I have so much I need to get out and need to say and what better time than a Thursday confession?

...On top of the crazy week we've had, I've had a stomach bug. I can't eat anything without feeling super sick afterwards. This has been going on for 3 days now. Yuck!

...I am sick and tired of the rain! I need some sunshine in my life asap. Our property looks like a lake. Diesel is over it too! He does not like going potty on wet grass!

...My co-worker is out on Friday and Monday and I am not looking forward to covering for her. Our clients are SO different and it makes for long draining days. I'm already exhausted.

...I have about 12 posts I need to get drafted. So much has happened in two weeks and I have had no time to blog about it. And lets not even talk about the number of photos I have to edit.

...Because of all of the awards programs and such I got to have more time with my sweet man! He was able to take off work both mornings to attend the assemblies! Yay!

...Speaking of assemblies...Nate's parents came to both as well! They are so supportive of our sweet little guy and I couldn't be more thankful! They pour so much into him and love him so well. That's such an amazing feeling to a parent. Love them something fierce.

...As of 10 am this morning Mason is officially done with Kindergarten and this school year! It's pretty bittersweet, but HELLO summer! I am looking forward to having Mason home with me and for that one on one time that I have missed all year long. We have no restrictions (other than my pretty flexible work schedule) and can go and do as we please! Oh how I have missed that.

...I can sleep until 7:59 am now, if I want. My office is just a few steps away. haha

...Mason and I are already in our pajamas! haha! Nate is going to give us a hard time when he gets home, i just know it. But, in our defense, we got soaking wet in the rain while going to pick up our lunch from McCallister's this afternoon. We wanted to get cozy and warm.

...All three of us are addicted to McCallister's. They have the best salads.

...I totally bribed Mason yesterday! I needed to get my nails done so bad. So, I told him that if he went with me and was good that I would take him to Five Below after for a small prize. Usually its hit or miss with things there, but I found a 36x60 handwoven rug. Y'all this thing is awesome and is made with such great quality. I am pretty stoked over a $5 rug.

...Ever since Meghan mentioned this song I have been obsessed with it!

I will stop here because I feel like I am rambling. Hope your week is a little less crazy than ours!

{I confess}

I am not sure if Jess is picking back up her Thursday Confessions link-up this week or not, but I still wanted to post. I love these little random confess sessions.

// No matter how many times {usually several a day} Mason calls me his sweet girl or his best girl I melt completely. I mean, it's my favorite thing ever. He's my favorite.

// I totally LOVE being a soccer mom. Love it.

// I hope Mason continues playing soccer...but he is more interested in starting karate.

// Two of my dearest friends {met online, became in real life friends} are coming down the weekend of Mason's birthday party and I am ecstatic. Like over the moon excited.

// We are on the homestretch of our Kindergarten school year and I am starting to get sad about it. First grade means we move to a new school where we know NOBODY at {meaning staff}. The school we are at now is amazing and had the most incredible employees. Many of them even go to our church. We will miss them something fierce.

// My poor car hasn't been washed or cleaned on the inside in months. It's pitiful.

// I took the boys to the park on Tuesday after school and we had the greatest time! I can't wait for more park adventures.

// I kind of want a mini-van. I've always heard they are great, but I rode in one the other night on the way to our ladies night {with church friends} and I saw what all the hype was about. They are so roomy and comfy and just cool!

// Diesel finally got a haircut last week and he looks so cute. But I have to admit, I was so embarrassed taking him to his grooming appt. You never know how bad it looks until you're going to get it fixed. I promise we love him!!

// We haven't done any home DIYs in a while and it's driving me crazy. I'm itching to start a new project,

// I have been taking a lot of photos with my big camera lately. I love to get out there and practice and getting to know my camera. BUT all of my photos seem to have some kind of tint to them; green, blue, orange, etc. instead of the bright white photos. It's bugging the crud out of me that I can't figure it out.

What are you confessing today?

{I confess}

Happy Thursday friends! It's Thursday...time to get out all of those random confessions!!

{I confess}

Another Thursday, another time to confess. Y'all it's been a long and tiring week. I am exhausted, but with a full, full heart. Sick days for Mason means lots of cuddle and quality time together. I am glad he's feeling better, but sad that he is back at school today. My house is quiet and I miss him something fierce already. Anyhow...these are my confessions for this week.

{I confess}

Thursdays are becoming one of my favorite blogging days! I love getting to spill out a bunch of randomness going on in my world and mind. Anyone else?  Time for another I confess sesh..

I confess...

// That I have two blog posts going live today. Because I love to confess and I love my man...and they both just happen to fall on the same day. And I guess I am making up for the lack of posts on Monday and Tuesday!

// I need my hair done so bad. Like my roots are 3 inches long right now. But, my hair dresser is over an hour away. That's over a 4 hour trip and who has time for that? I do love her though...and she's worth the 4 hours.

// I took so many freakin' pictures this weekend that I was overwhelmed completely. It took me 2 full days to sort and edit. My Easter post didn't go up until Wednesday...just when everyone was over Easter.

// I can't wait to share about Mason's first soccer game, because the little dude ROCKED it!

// No matter what kind of day we've had the minute Mason falls asleep I miss him. Like really miss him.

// And I secretly hope that he wakes and crawls into our bed sometime in the middle of the night so I can cuddle him. I sleep so much better when both of my boys are in my bed.

// I wish I could cuddle with Nate, but about 5-10 minutes is all we can do. Unless we both fall asleep really fast. He's a human heater and makes us both sweat. And he snores...loud!

// The things Mason hears at school on the playground saddens me. I pray for those sweet babies {that's teaching my boy things} daily because there is no telling what they have seen, heard and endured in their 5-6 years of life. My heart just breaks for them.

// As I am typing up this post I hear the boys in Mason's room making a complete mess, but I don't even care. At least it's contained to one room, they are not fighting, or getting into things that they shouldn't be.

// I skipped Mason's soccer practice Tuesday because I desperately needed my nails done. He was okay with it though. It was just a practice and Nate was there.

// We have entirely too much Easter candy in this house. And I have too little will-power right now.

// We had some storms roll through last night and they dumped a lot of rain. Praying the sun comes out and dries it all up before Saturday...because soccer...and we have one more Easter celebration to go to.

That's all I have for today. What are you confessing today?

{I confess}

// Mason's Easter basket is going to be ginormous this year {more for him to share!!}. I started stashing things in my craft closet several weeks ago and kind of forgot all that I had bought. And I've already thought of a couple things I forgot to put in there.

// Mason and I kind of have coordinating outfits for Easter and I'm not mad about it. I am going to try to get Nate to match us too. And then I pray we get at least one decent family photo on Easter.

// Speaking of Easter...Mason picked out a bow-tie to wear and I am so, so so excited about it. I pray he lets me take some pictures of him.

// And Easter yet again...I am so so excited about all of the Easter festivities coming up. Like majorly excited. I love Easter. I'm even excited about sunrise service and can't wait to experience this with my sweet little family. Even if that means I will need to get up and go to the grocery store at 5 am.

// I have had so much fun watching Mason practicing and playing soccer. I think this just might be his "thing". And even though it broke my baseball-loving heart that he really wasn't into T-ball, I'm excited about soccer. But that doesn't mean I'm not secretly hoping his thoughts on playing baseball changes. ha

// My heart is on fire for Jesus right now. Like on fire. I want to serve in any way that I can. And I just can't get enough church! It's been so good for my soul.

// I completely failed at Guys Behind the Blog this month. We were supposed to come up with 5 questions on our own and I completely dropped the ball. I wonder if I can still pull it off?

// I have met the most incredible ladies through this blogging thing and I am feeling so blessed! This community is amazing and I am so thankful for it. Thank you!

What are you confessing this week? Are you ready for Easter?

{I Confess}

Thursdays are starting to be one of my favorite days! I love getting out so many random things in one post. Time for another I confess sesh....

// It's Spring Break week around here {can I get an Amen?} and on Tuesday Mason and I stayed in our pajamas all day long! I didn't even put on a bra until about 6:30 pm that night and it's because we wanted to get outside and enjoy the glorious weather! It was worth it...

// Speaking of Spring Break...I had a complete #momfail on the very first day!! I worked Mon-Weds and while I was in my office answering a few work emails Mason took it upon himself to climb up our kitchen island and grab a new knife that had just come in the mail for Nathan. It was in a tray out of his reach. But, he was climbing up there for something else and saw the knife and grabbed it. He took it to his room to open and look at and he poked himself between two of his little fingers. Thank God it was only a little poke, it could have been so much worse. It was a major fail on all of us....on Nate for not putting it away when it came in the mail, on me for turning my back on him for a second and on Mason because Nathan has talked to him a cagillion times about the safety of knives and guns and asking one of us for help before ever touching. It scared the poop out of him, though! I am confident he will not make that mistake again.

// We are going camping this weekend, but I am making Nate bring us back on Saturday night because I don't want to miss church!! Normally I am the gal that doesn't want to miss a moment of camping! Love our church so much!!

// Mason and I made a DIY Leprechaun trap on Tuesday and I don't know who was more excited about it...he or I?! I'm not sure if we will catch one or not, but we are hoping he at least leaves some fun little goodies!

// Speaking of the Leprechaun trap...I feel kind of bad. Mason checks it like 95 times an hour hoping to catch a Leprechaun!! I am hoping the goodies he leaves in the morning will make up for it.  :)

// My bathroom is probably the messiest room in the whole house. But, I know exactly where everything is and it works for me.

// The season finale of PLL has me all kinds of confused. I am still trying to process this and figure it all out. Did any of you get it and care to explain to me? I was watching it over a loud five year old playing superheros!

// I have lacked motivation in the cleaning department this week. But hey, I did manage to cook everyday so far!

// It seems like everyone is moving to WordPress and I feel like I should too. But, I am terrified of messing everything up or that I will not know what to do once I am on WP. #thestruggle

// I took off today and we're not evening leaving until after Nate gets off work. But, I need the day with my sweet boy without work interrupting. And I will have to pack for all three of us plus Diesel.

{I confess // $150 Bucks to Starbucks}

I confess...

// Kindergarten. Ugh! I struggle with Mason keeping his perfect attendance and then wanting to pull him out and just go and do. Once the school nerd, always the school nerd. Even as a mom. #thestruggle

// I secretly love when Mason buys lunch at school and I don't have to pack a lunch in the morning. Saves a good 5-10 minutes!!

// But I also love leaving cheesy little love notes in his lunchbox.

// I'm getting a taste of what it would be like to have twin boys. Whoa doggie. That's hard work! I have so much respect for twin mamas...especially with twin boys! They are crazy.

// Fridays are my favorite! Nate comes home early and I have help with the boys!! And I love getting to spend time with him too.

// I've gotten quite a few comments from no-reply bloggers lately and I feel so bad that I can't respond. I always try to find an email, but sometimes I am not successful. It bothers me. I feel rude. So, if you've commented on my blog and you didn't get a respond from me that is most likely why.

// Mason does not bathe every single night. #workingonthatimmunesystem

// I need to step-up my meal-planning game! It's been pathetic lately. There has just been too much going on and planning meals is not on my radar right now. Got any good, quick and easy recipes? Send them my way. My husband will thank you!!

// Since Nate and I got Yeti tumbler cups we have not used any other cup in our house. We bought Mason a 20oz and now that's all that he uses too. I've thought about throwing away all of our other cups because they are just there taking up space in the cabinets. And we don't have tons of cabinet space to begin with. Seriously. But then Nate reminded me that we might have visitors some day and they may need a cup. Can we just keep a pack of solo cups on hand? Kidding. sort of.

// I have eaten a whole bag of Laffy Taffy Jelly beans this week. ugh. Eating your feelings is never a good thing. Never.

// I was asleep before 8:45 {maybe even before 8:30} yesterday. #oldladystatus But, I am not mad about it. Yesterday was exhausting.

Also...today I am confessing that I have teamed up with a bunch of my favorite bloggers for a Luck of the Bucks giveaway
