{JANUARY GOALS // 2023}

For the last two months, I have shared some goals here on the blog. I think I will keep this up in the new year.  Here's a look at both what I accomplished/didn't as well as new goals for the month of January.

Personal:

✓ Drink at least 16oz of water daily. I know this seems small, but it's big for me. Water isn't usually the first thing I grab when I'm thirsty. (I consumed a lot of water in December - I found the trick for me was to keep fresh limes on hand!)

✓ Make my bed daily

✓ Subscribe to Kindle+ & download some books to read this month - I read 4 books in December! That's a lot for me!!

✓ Read before bed - instead of scrolling social media (most nights)

✓ Continue to wake 1-2 hours early every morning (with the exception of our camping week - we slept in until 9 after having late nights)

✓ Get up from my desk every 15-30 minutes - refocus my eyes and move my body!

✓ Try a couple new holiday recipes - Macy Blackwell has so many I want to try! (I made a couple of Macy's recipes for Christmas festivities)

✓ Stay ahead of the game when it comes to all things Christmas (gifts, Elves, activities & traditions)

✓ Cook the Hello Fresh meals we get each week and stop letting some of them go to waste! Or skip the weeks we have a lot going on and I know we will not use them (I put these on hold until after the new year. With all of the Christmas gatherings and parties, I knew we would just waste so many of these meals)

✓ Help plan a Christmas night with our group of friends (this was one of the best nights. blogged here)

Family:

✓ Go on a date with Nate (we had a couple of shopping dates together)

✓ Go on a date with Mase (same here, a couple of shopping trips together and some coffee dates)

✓ Check things off our Christmas bucket list and be intentional with our time together this season

X Get Mason's room cleaned and organized before Christmas

✓ Take a day off work to spend with my boys - doing all the Christmas things (We went to the Gaylord, ICE, and Ice Skating)

✓ Enjoy a week in a cabin in the Kiamichi mountains

Spiritual:

✓ Continue to read Bible every morning

✓ Pray more throughout the day

✓ Find Christmas/Advent plans on the Bible app (I completed several Christmas plans)

✓ Complete our scripture Advent

✓ Read the Christmas Story on Christmas Eve (candlelight Christmas Eve service)

Blog // Social Media // Apps:

✓ Post more consistently on the HallAroundTexas IG and IG stories

✓ Blog 3-4x a week & stay caught up on events

✓ Get content at the camping spots we will visit this month for my CampAroundTexas IG

✓ish Schedule posts for the week we are out of town (I scheduled a few but not the whole week)
