Before going to the cabin Nate, Mason, and I took a stroll through Beaver's Bend State Park! This place is nostalgic and holds so many core memories for us! We wanted to see how much it had changed since we'd last been there!
While we were happy to be back in one of our favorite places, it was also heartbreaking to see how much it had built up and changed in such a short period of time. The land is being consumed by cabins and businesses! It's still such a beautiful place for a getaway and will forever be a favorite of ours.
We spent the rest of the evening at the cabin. You can see the cabin we rented here.
The next day was our nephew Caron's birthday so we went to town to celebrate him! We started at the local petting zoo, which is actually a rescue/sanctuary for these animals! We had so much fun getting to see all the different animals and feed them! My favorite was the camel!
Next, we went to eat at the Hochatown Saloon! It was pretty good.
Then we went to the bowling alley where we met up with some family friends that were also there on vacation at the same time! The kids played in the arcade and bowled for a while. Then everyone came back to our cabin for a little birthday celebration for Carson!
Caroline also did everyone's make-up! Such a treat. :) The guys were such troopers!
It was a fun day and night with the family!
