{Three Things // Fall edition}

It's been a while since I have done a "three things" post. I thought now would be a good time as we are transitioning from summer to back to school to sort of not really fall. Every ounce of my being is ready for fall, but the temps are still in the upper 90s and even reaching triple digits on some days. I am over it. Maybe all of you up north can send some cooler temps down here to Texas? Maybe? Anyhow, here's a three things post.

MASON:
{O N E}:
He is adjusting back to school so well! Better than I probably would have. That boy would sleep until at least noon almost every day in the summer, so getting up at 6:30 am is no easy feat. For either of us, truthfully. Morning people we are not. And I know I've mentioned it here on the blog before, but Mason is at a brand new campus this year. We are surfing new waters, but staying afloat. Mason is doing really well on his grades, coming home with smiley faces on his folder each day and enjoying cool big kid things like stem lab, science lab, etc.

{T W O}:
Mason is working towards a big goal! If he has perfect attendance, no whining about not wanting to go to school, a good attitude and keeps up his awesome grades by Christmas break we are taking him to ifly. He's been wanting to do indoor sky-diving for quite some time, so it's perfect. He really wants to go real sky-diving, like out of a plane, but we compromised on this!

{T H R E E}:
Mason is such a brave kid! We tried out a new church recently and they have a separate building for children's church. He went right in, and with excitement! He barely told us bye before he was finding his way. He had such a good time, even if he sat in the girls group the whole time. lol. He just went where someone pointed him and didn't realize it was the girl's group. They only asked what grade he was. He didn't know they split by boys and girls. And since he was new the leaders just thought maybe he knew someone in the girls group and felt more comfortable there. I would have been mortified if something like that happened to me. But not him, didn't phase him. And he's ready to go back!

Nate & Crystal:
I'm combining ours instead of doing separate ones because we are pretty much the same!

{O N E}:
We've been doing keto/low carb for about a month now. Nathan has lost over 15lbs. I am not sure how much I've lost because I didn't weigh myself before. But, I certainly have lost a ton of inches. My body is changing and it's exciting! I can't wait to keep on this journey and to get in better shape!! Also, it makes it so much better doing it together. Nate seems to be losing weight at a faster pace {isn't that always the case with guys?}, but at least I am losing and not gaining. This bum thyroid makes it so hard to lose weight, but I am going to show it who is boss!

{T W O}:
I mentioned above that we tried a new church recently and Nathan and I both really, really enjoyed it as well. They have a really awesome worship service which is near to my heart. Nathan said he really liked it too and he's not one that listens to worship on a daily basis. We both really enjoyed the pastor as well. Planting roots in a new church can be scary, but it's always easier doing it together.

{T H R E E}:
We've been spending a lot of time at home lately and loving it. We've been cooking meals instead of going out so much, working on projects or the Jeeps together in the shop and watching college football. I think a summer of on the go really made us crave time at home. And we are savoring every moment at home because we know how busy the last three months of the year are for us!
