{This Past Weekend // Birthday, Basketball and Bible Study}

Happy Monday! Is it just me, or did Monday come entirely too fast? Our weekend wasn't even busy and it flew by. I had an awful migraine the majority of the weekend, but thankfully had a lot of time to rest. I tried working on Friday, but the computer made me feel worse. So, I took some personal time off. Anyhow, here's a recap of our weekend. I'm starting this one on Thursday because it was my birthday. And my sweet family made it so special for me. Here's a look at This Past Weekend...

...this past weekend was my birthday. I'm not one at all to make a big deal about my birthday and would be completely fine with no celebrations! But, I do appreciate everything my precious family does to make it special.

...this past weekend  Mason had awards. His Uncle and Aunt came to support him. I love seeing his little face light up when he sees family there for him.  Mason got Honor Roll at this assembly.

...this past weekend Mason gave me flowers for my birthday! Nana picked them up for him to give me. They are both so sweet and precious to me.

...this past weekend we went to dinner to celebrate my birthday with Nathan's family. We went to a really nice little Italian place on the square a town over from ours. I completely forgot to take a picture, but the town was light up with hanging white lights and it just looked so darling! The food was amazing and we will definitely be going back!

...this past weekend we caught an amazing sunset on the way to birthday dinner! However, these pictures do it no justice whatsoever.

...this past weekend I tried working, but had a migraine too bad to focus on my computer. I used some personal time so that I could just rest.

...this past weekend Mason had basketball practice. Those Friday night practices are tough!

...this past weekend we had Bible Study. It was so great to get together with our small group. I was still feeling super crummy, but snuggling two new little babes made it a little bearable! We have two new babies in our group; one born in November and the other born in December. Oh how I love them so.

...this past weekend Mason had a basketball game at 10:00 am. We didn't win, but they had fun! Nate's parents, his uncle's girlfriend and my sister and two nephews came to cheer Mase on!

...this past weekend we went to lunch after basketball.

...this past weekend we spent the rest of the evening at home. Mason went next door for a birthday party. They rented a game truck and Mase had a blast.

...this past weekend Nathan had to work overtime.

...this past weekend Mason and I missed Sunday school. Lexi had an upset tummy so I wanted to make sure she was okay before we left her alone. I didn't want to come home to a mess! We had a slow moving Sunday morning and I was able to get a ton of things done around the house.

...this past Sunday Mason and I went to church. We had some members in town that led worship and oh man, was it amazing! Service was great, too! I just love my church.

..this past weekend I looked through Mason's drawing pad after he left for children's church and found this. It made my heart so happy! I've really tried to be more intentional about praying with him!

...this past weekend Mason and I went to pick up our grocery order after church. We had to wait a few minutes so we passed the time by taking some selfies! I love when he obliges to pictures. It doesn't happen often.

...this past weekend Mason went to play with the kids next door for several hours. While he was doing that I studied the book of Matthew in my Bible. I love the She Reads Truth app! I love how Matthew shows us who Jesus really and truly is.

...this past weekend Nathan got home from work around 3:30 or so. We were lazy for the most part. I did several loads of laundry and re-organized my closet.

...this past weekend was a good one. How was yours?

Also, I wanted to share a fun Instagram photo challenge I am co-hosting with some sweet blog friends. The challenge runs February 1st through the 14th. I hope you will join us!
