{Christmas Eve // 2019}

Mason and I had our Christmas tree campout the night before, so we woke up next to the glow of the Christmas tree. That was such a wonderful way to wake-up on Christmas Eve. I checked my work emails and didn't have much to do, so we continued watching Home Alone 2 Lost in New York from our air mattress. We lazed around the house in our Christmas pajamas for the rest of the day watching Christmas movies. Work was extremely quiet, which was nice. I got to spend some quality time with my boy. Nate worked overtime and got off around 2:00.

We hung out with Nate for a little bit before it was time to get ready for church! The candlelight Christmas Eve service is one of my favorite services of the entire year. We invited our whole family to join us, but only Nate's parents were able to come. We were so blessed to have them join us. Also, this was our first Christmas Eve service at our new church. We've been going to the Christmas Eve service at a local Cowboy Church for years, but wanted to try out the service at our new church. And I am so glad we did! It was beyond amazing. They opened the service with a beautiful rendition of Little Drummer Boy and it literally gave me chills. Here is a small clip of it. The entire service was just amazing! I love our new church something fierce!

After a beautiful, amazing, and moving service we sought out to find a restaurant open. Dickey's BBQ was open so we went there. We had supper with Nate's parents before taking them back home. Then it was time to put out reindeer food, cookies for Santa, carrots for the reindeer, and our Inn Keeper's key!

Mason went to bed super easy and fairly early! And then Santa game and I caught him on camera.

I just love the magic of Christmas!!
