Last September I wrote a "My boy right now" post and recently came across it. I loved reading it and it made me realize I want to do more of these posts. That way I have all of these posts of Mason as a kid to look back on when he's older! There are just so many things I want to remember about him at this stage of life. He's such a fun and loving little guy and I can't soak up enough time with him. Here are some random tidbits about my boy right now...
Mason Lane

out on summer break
He is the happiest when in water! He loves to swim whether it's in a pool, lake, river, or ocean. We have to make him get out otherwise he'd stay in for days upon days. He's completely happy with popsicles for every meal of the day...while eating them in the pool!
He can be so dang sarcastic sometimes! Nathan and I use sarcasm often and I see that it's rubbing off on Mason. Oops! We better put a stop to that...
He can't wait for his 'big teeth' to be full grown and checks them daily! I happen to like his gummy little toothless smile...it makes me feel like he's still little!
All he ever wants to eat are cheese sandwiches and yogurt. All day everyday!
Completely freaks out when you clip his finger nails. He has a weird quirk about straight fingers or people holding his fingers.
Is head over heels in love with his pups and talks so sweet to them! He calls Lexi his sweet girl and Diesel his little buddy!
Loves going to church and is always asking "What day is it? Is it Wednesday or Sunday?" and then is disappointed when it's not one of those days.
Would rather stay up late and sleep all day! Even if he doesn't stay up late he sleeps until you wake him...which is usually around 11:00-11:30 am. A boy after my own heart!
Speaking of sleep, he still comes into our room almost every night. I'd say somewhere around 5 out of 7 nights a week he ends up in our bed. Sometimes he lets us know he's coming and sometimes we don't know he's there until morning. That King size bed was one of our best investments!! Although, I love cuddling with him.
He loves to watch gamers on YouTube. I don't get it...watching people play games instead of actually playing the games yourself...but he loves it. I read about this all the time on social media so I know he's not the only one.
He is attached to his mama's hip! Wherever I am, there he is.
He recently told me that he, his wife & two kids are going to live with us. Then he said, "well, we will live in your house and you and dad can build a barndiminium behind our house!" And he was totally serious!
He is obsessed with cars...like Lamborghini's and Ferrari's. He asks almost every single day if we will buy him one for his sixteenth birthday.

Song - Rolex, Juju on that Beat, Fearless (Jasmin Murray)
What do you want to be when you grow up? - A cop and a Lawyer
Where do you want to go to college? - Baylor University
What makes you happy? - Mommy & Daddy and Jesus
What is something you are good at? - reading and riding my bike
