If you know me personally, you know that the last season of my life has been… a lot. I was walking through some of the hardest, scariest, most overwhelming days of my life. At the height of it all, I was preparing for brain surgery, and every day felt like a battle between fear and faith.
In that season, one of the things that brought me the most comfort, aside from my time in prayer, was worship music. I’d put on worship, close my eyes, and just let the words wash over me. These songs reminded me that I wasn’t alone... that God was near, even in the moments when everything felt heavy and uncertain.
So I made a Spotify worship playlist. Not just any playlist...this one became a lifeline. I didn’t just hear the music... I felt the truth in every lyric. These songs helped me refocus my heart when the anxiety crept in. They helped me breathe when it felt like the weight of the unknown was pressing down hard. They reminded me of God's promises. His peace. His presence.
You can listen to the playlist here:
Whether you're walking through your own storm right now, or just need some music to fill your home or your quiet moments with truth and light...this playlist is for you.
Some of the songs that really ministered to me in that season:
- “Quiet (Acoustic)” by Hillside Recording, Diane Trout — so gentle, so calming... a whispered reminder that God is present in the stillness.
- “Middle of a Miracle” by Emerson Day — this one brought me to tears more than once. Because that’s exactly where I was...right in the middle of it.
- “More Like Jesus” by One Voice INT — a sweet prayer that realigned my heart on the days when I just didn’t feel like myself.
- “What a God” by SEU Worship — this one makes me so weepy. It's these lyrics...
If the highest place I reach is at Your feetThen I've done it allIf the best thing that I've seen is Your gloryThen I've seen it allYour love has changed my life, forever satisfiedGod, You are my everything
I’ll be sharing more soon about everything that’s unfolded in this season, the hard stuff and the holy stuff. But for now, if you’re needing some encouragement, I pray this playlist blesses you the same way it blessed me.
Put it on while you walk, while you cry, while you clean the kitchen, or when you just need a moment of peace in the chaos. Let these words sink in... let them speak to your soul.
Because you're not alone either.
With love and a heart full of worship...
