{Weekend Wrap-up // Babes, Hockey, Softball, Church, Sushi}

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a great weekend. Ours was pretty good, just not near long enough! I did soak up every minute that we got, though! It was filled with good food, family, friends, sports, and Jesus! I love those kinds of weekends. Here's a look at what we did...

Thursday //

Our weekends normally start on Thursdays around here! Nate is off work on Fridays so we usually get out of the house. Mason requested Babes for supper and Nate and I obliged! It's one of our favorites and we haven't been there in a good while! We got there right around 5:05 pm and walked right in! There's no wait when you're an early bird! ha! The food was delicious, as always. After supper, Mason and I went outside. They have the cutest waiting area and this tree just begs for kids to climb it! Mason has been climbing this tree for years! After Babes, we headed to the outdoor malls in Cedar Hill. We are on the hunt for Mason some shoes for our upcoming trip to California. Unfortunately, we didn't find any that he liked. He's pretty picky when it comes to shoes.

Oh, and check out what the temperature was reading on the way to supper...

Texas is wild!

Friday //

I worked on Friday while Nate and Mason went to a friend's softball game. After the games, they went to the hockey stores there. This seems to be an every-weekend thing for us now.  I've mentioned before, but the closest hockey stores are over an hour and ten minutes from us. So when we have the opportunity to go, we go. Plus, Mason has needed several things lately. I can't believe it's been 4 months since Mason's first hockey lesson.  He has come so far in those 4 months and I couldn't be more proud.

Friday was also a pretty exciting day...Mason is officially registered with the USA Hockey organization and is signed up for fall league!!

Anyhow, Nate and Mason picked up a new professional hockey goal for him to use when practicing at home. They came home and worked on putting it together. Nate got the main part of the goal put together and then took a break. After work, we took a glorious nap. Then went back outside to finish the rest of the hockey goal. That evening we had slurpees for supper! We weren't hungry at all. I think it's this Texas heat!

Saturday //

Saturday mornings are for hockey!! Mason had academy at 10 am which meant we had to leave at 9 am which meant a 7:30am wake-up call for me. I don't mind it though! I love getting to watch him do his thing.  It was another foggy morning at the rink! Mason had a great practice.

After hockey, we went to lunch with Nate's parents at Mexican Inn. It's become one of our favorites lately. Then we went thrifting! We found a lot of good things at the thrift store!! Then we headed Scheels to kill some time before heading to our friend's daughter's softball game!! They won and it was so fun to watch Lex play!

Sunday //

Sunday morning we went to the 2nd service at church (10:45). The sermon series right now is Revelation and it was a great message on living for the worldly kingdom or God's kingdom! After church, we ran a couple of errands and then came back home. We made/ate lunch and then got busy doing all the indoor/outdoor/farm chores to get ready for the new week.  I worked on my Bible Study for a while in between doing laundry. That evening we got sushi from Bristol. It's so darn good! Then came home and Nate layed down to get rid of a headache, I did more of my Bible Study, and Mason practiced.

Hope you had an amazing weekend doing all the things you love.
