This year for the 4th of July, we camped with Nate's family at Blue Sky Cedar Creek. It's a new RV resort near Cedar Creek Lake. It's just minutes down the road from my family's lakehouses! Two of my aunts, and my parents all have a lakehouse on the same street (4 houses total between them all). And because of this, we got to spend some of the 4th of July weekend with both sides of the family! It was brutally HOT but we survived and had a great time!
Thursday - we drove down to the camping grounds. We got there around 5:30. The family was ready to eat so we left shortly after to eat at a place called El Jacalito's in Seven Points. We all thought the food was pretty good! Then we came back and went swimming.
Friday - started off with a delicious breakfast! Ty and Michelle went antiquing/thrifting and Nate and I went to some shops around town. Then we just hung out and went swimming.
Saturday - we decorated the campsites for the 4th of July and then Nate, Ty, Michelle, and I went to a thrift store and an antique store in Mabank. We found a few gems! Later that evening, Nate, Mason, and I went down to the lakehouses to visit for a bit. But not before stopping at Don Juans, our favorite place! We saw a beautiful sunset at the lakehouses and on the way back to camp.
Sunday - some of the group went to eat fish at a nearby restaurant and the rest of us stayed at camp. Nate's middle brother and his family came out for the day! We played with the littles and then all 13 of us went swimming!
After swimming, we came back and grilled hamburgers and hot dogs! Jordan's family left after supper and then Nate's parents, Ty & Michelle, and the three of us headed to the lakehouses. Ty had some fireworks to shoot off. Then we just all visited with my family!
Monday - was a pretty chill day. We went into town to get Mason some lunch and then hung out at the campsites the rest of the day. Later that evening we went down to the basketball and pickleball courts.
Tuesday - we packed up and headed home. We had to pick up Lexi from the boarder and then do something around the house!
