{Five on Friday // VBS, Lexi, 4th of July, Vacation, Amevie Sunglasses}

It has been a long while since I've wrote a Five on Friday post! It was back at the beginning of May to be exact. May and June have been our busiest months so far this year and I don't see it slowing down any time soon. Here is a little bit of what we have been up to this week...

{O N E} // On the blog this week...
Monday - Memorial Day trip to Mason, TX
Tuesday - 12 Handy apps for camping
Wednesday - Taking Stock
Thursday - The Guys Behind the Blog

{T W O}// Vacation Bible School
This week kicked off our week of Vacation Bible School at our church. The theme was "Hero Central - Discover your strength in God". Nathan and I both volunteered to work this year. I worked in the crafts room and Nathan helped move kids from area to area. This was our first 'traditional' VBS at our new church. Last year we had a sports camp instead of VBS.

{T H R E E} // Lexi
Oh this sweet girl! We fall more in love with her every single day. She is growing so fast and getting smarter and sweeter with each passing day. She has blown us away with how much she already knows. Her 'tricks' so far are sit, lay down, back to sit from laying down position, shake and giving kisses on command. Don't get me wrong, it's frustrating having to take stuff out of her mouth 98457965 times a day, but we couldn't love her more.

{F O U R} // 4th of July Scavenger Hunt
Last year I created a 4th of July scavenger hunt and I wanted to share it again. Mason and I had so much fun with this last year. Hope you all have a happy and safe Independence Day!

{F I V E} // Summer vacation

I can't wait to be in the mountains and cooler air {with less humidity}!! Because...TEXAS! Oh how I love Texas, but dang it's hot.

{B O N U S} // AMEVIE Sunglasses
Have you heard of Amevie? They are a Toronto based sunglasses company with a good cause. Having a personal struggle with skin Lupus and sun hypersensitivity Amevie set out with a purpose and to educate and protect. Amevie is an official partner of Seva Canada so when you buy one pair of sunglasses they give one pair of prescription eyeglasses to a child in need. How awesome is that? I am always a huge fan of a company that gives back. Amevie sent me a pair of sunglasses from their new bamboo line. I received the Milan sunglasses and they are beautiful! They are so well made and fit my face perfectly. And best of all they offer 100% UV protection!! If you're in need of a new pair of sunglasses {or even if you're not} I would definitely recommend trying Amevie. Plus, wouldn't you want to take part in providing a pair of eyeglasses to a child in need?
