{Picture Perfect Project // October}

Hall Around Texas - Picture Perfect Project

 Any chance we get we head down to the pond for the evening. It's one of my favorite places to take pictures of my boys. Mason is usually occupied with doing boy stuff and I can snap pictures without him being annoyed {mostly}. I just let him play and do not ask him to pose for anything because I want some candid pictures of him just being a six year old boy. There are so many opportunities for him to do just that at the pond. This particular evening he went down to the pond wearing a mask and forgot to grab his glasses. It amazes me how different he looks without his glasses. He also thought it would be fun to wear his shirt backwards and deemed it backwards day.

Warning...this will be picture heavy.

And then he started getting frustrated with me because I kind of was all up in his face snapping pictures! But don't worry...I snapped him out of it by telling him some silly jokes. And then I reminded myself not to blow it! ha. As I mentioned in my last Picture Perfect Project - Mason hates pictures.

And then we moved on to the bamboo so that he could make some sort of karate weapon out of it. Side note - he once made a YouTube video no how to make a baton out of bamboo! So cute.

And that's a wrap on our October pictures!

  2. Mason is the cutest! And I know all about them getting frustrated with pictures, unfortunately. Clearly you are the best joke teller because you got him smiling and laughing and some amazing photos of his true personality! Great job!

  3. Oh that sweet freckled boy. I love all the photos of facial expressions that you captured. Also those eye lashes! Why do boys get prettier lashes than girls?!

  4. Mason reminds me of my son, he really doesn't enjoy getting his picture taken either but that doesn't stop me! LOL. And your photography skills are so good!

  11. He's such a cutie!! I just told someone this week that one thing that always works to get a smile out of my son (because he hates pictures, too) is to take a whoopie cushion with us. Yes, I'm very mature for my age!! It cracks him up every time & I get s genuine smile.

  12. You should become a photographer! These pictures are beautiful. Your Mason sounds like mine. I get one picture then he says he's done.

  14. Without his glasses Mason looks so much like you! My goodness!
    Marcus is pretty good with photos, but I know I'm going to have to have a serious bag of tricks with Julia to get a smile!
