We are major book lovers over here! And there's not much more that I love than rotating books out for each new season. Okay, maybe that was a bit dramatic. But, we do love our books. We've got our Halloween books out and have been reading them on repeat. Last year I shared some of our favorites which you can find here. Since last year we have added quite a few to our Halloween collection including some chapter books. Thank you Scholastic books! I have got to admit, Scholastic Books is one of my favorite parts about Mason being in grade school. I don't know who gets more excited, me or him, every time he brings a new order form home. Mason has really gotten into chapter books lately and I love it. Here is what we are reading right now.

I think we need some more Halloween books too, we've been reading the 7 pumpkins on repeat over here...that might be our only Halloween book...hmmm..I need to remedy that...
ReplyDeleteJack is three (almost four) so we are still reading the picture books but as a school librarian I have found that all child (and most adults) love picture books. Jack is loving Going on a Ghost Hunt, Little Blue Truck's Halloween, and Pete the Cat 5 Pumpkins. One of my favorites that I'll get Jack when he is a little older (in like a year or two) is Spookely the Square Pumpkin. It has such a great message and there are lots of activities available that goes along with the book.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if the girls would like the Nate The Great books.... hhhhmmmmm?!?! We might just have to try one of those out. Love your collection.
ReplyDeleteGirl, you know Room on the Broom is a fav in our house. LOVE!! The LEGO book looks like a great one too. My students always loved Junie B Jones. I'll have to grab some of those for Cam.
ReplyDeleteRight now our problem is Noah doesn't like scary. So we have to be selective with the Halloween books we pick. Good thing most little little kid books are more about the pumpkins :)
ReplyDeleteHow do we. It have any of these?! And i''m so torn about when to start Harry Potter with Liam.... i have this strange urge to hold off on all my favorites!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the new ideas! We need some new Halloween books that Brayden can read. We LOVE Room on the Broom, my girls ask me to read it every day.
ReplyDeleteI used to love and hate scholastic book orders as a kid! I loved looking through them but was always so sad when my parents wouldn't order haha! I am such a fan of festive books for sure and that's the way to go to get them!!
ReplyDeleteWe love Room on a Broom, too!! The rest of the Halloween books we're reading right now are probably a little young for Mason, but we are totally going to have to check out a few that you've suggested!
ReplyDeleteI love courdoroy! And Room on the Broom, although Ez and Declan aren't interested in it yet. Looks like Mason is a total bookworm. Love it!
ReplyDeleteWe have a nice collection of books for the Fall but what I'm really good at is collecting Christmas books. I'm way over the top with them.
ReplyDeleteIll have to remember these readers for next year! Also, the cirlce graphics is awesome!
