{Ten on Tuesday // 10 things I am grateful for}

When Karli announced that she was starting this new link-up my list-loving little heart got so dang excited. Making lists is my jam. And I may already have like 6 or 7 of these written, but whatever. The hardest part was choosing which one to start with. I am choosing this one because I am going through a season where I need to be thankful for what I do have.

10 things I am grateful for:

1 // Nathan - he is my rock and my best friend. As cliche as it sounds, I don't know where I would be without him. 19 years later and I still want to spend every single second with this amazing man. He is the most loving, caring and genuine person I have ever met. I love him something fierce.

2 // Mason - oh this little guy! I love him so much that it literally hurts. He's a challenge for sure...so dang stubborn and too smart for his own good...but I love the challenge. {#mywild} He has the most tender heart and the sweetest soul and I just can't believe that he is mine. He melts me. And his love for Jesus brings me so much joy!

3 // My family - I was blessed with the best of the best.

4 // My friends - again, blessed with the best of the best. My friends are more like family and are the best support system a girl could ask for.

5 // My job and that I get to work from home. Hugest blessing ever!! I can't even begin to tell you what this has done for our family. I am able to get those little things done during the day that I would normally have to do in the evenings. Now I have more family time, I cook more, house is more organized and clean, etc. It's amazing!

6 // That Nate is off on Fridays. He usually works over-time, but he goes in early and is off around 10 or 11. We get to have lunch together and spend a little quality time with just us two.

7 // God's Amazing Grace - I think Grace became more evident to me when I became a Mother. And I am so thankful for it.

8 // Our new Church and church family! Sundays have become our favorite day of the week. Mason loves Children's church and can't wait for it each week. The other day I asked him if he wanted to go to the gym with Daddy or stay home with me. He says, "Nah, I just wanna go to church!" Sweet little thing! I love that he loves it. My only regret is that we didn't start attending sooner. But, it's all in God's timing and He called us there when He wanted us there.

9 // Mason's teacher and school. I am going to be 100% honest and transparent for a moment. When we first moved here and realized that we were in the school district we are in {in a different town about 20 mins away} we were a little worried about it. Okay, a lot worried. We had visited one of the schools in that town before we even had Mason and it was like the Twilight Zone! That did not give us a good feeling at all. When it came time for Mason to start Kindergarten we seriously thought about transferring him to a different district. We even thought about Life School, which is a charter school here. But, then God started doing His thing and showed us that Mason would be more than okay in our district. We have two good family friends {that also go to our church} that work there, Nate's cousin is friends with the principal and his wife, and the teacher we requested grew up with my cousins. It all started falling into place. And now? We couldn't imagine Mason being anywhere else. It is an amazing school and has the most amazing people that work there. The only downside is that this will be his only year at this school. It's only Pre-K and Kinder there. We are bummed about that. But, for now we are soaking up every moment of this wonderful place and thankful that we are here.

10 // Peace that passes understanding!

  10. Isn't it amazing that when you focus on the things we have to be grateful for that the list is long and wonderful! I'm trying each day to focus on the good. Whenever Chris says he had a bad day or has bad luck I point out that our life is pretty darn great... And yours sounds pretty amazing as well :)
