{Five on FRI-YAY!!! // 5 things about Mason at 5 years old}

Happy finally Friday!! That week after having 10 glorious days off is always the longest and the hardest.  I can't even tell you how happy I am that it's FriYAY!!

I'm going to switch it up a bit for Five on Friday and post 5 {of my favorite} things about Mason at 5 years old that I never want to forget. Because I know I will blink and he'll be 13.

One //

His sweet little freckles that sweep across his cheeks and over his cute little nose. They're precious!! They're not as noticeable during the winter-time, but in the summer they really stand out due to the sun.

Two //

His cowlick. When he was first born I knew that he was going to have a cowlick. There were these little swirls of hair all in that area. I truly love it. No matter how much hairspray we add, or how hard we try to make a mohawk his cowlick has a mind of its own and does what it wants. I think it is adorable and works for him. Barbers always remember him because of his cowlick.

Three //

The gap between his two front teeth and how he is 100% convinced that he lost a tooth there. He says it must have happened in his sleep and that he swallowed it {gross}. I had this same gap between my baby teeth when I was a little girl {although, I think my gap was even bigger}. I know it won't be long and he'll start losing those little baby teeth...and the gap.

Four //

How incredibly different Mason looks without his glasses.

Five //

His sweet disposition and tender heart. His adoration for me is something fierce and something special. We definitely have a deep and special connection and it makes my mama heart sour.

  4. What a sweet, sweet post! I think I need to follow suit because life updates on my kiddos are posts I really hate writing! This seems simple enough! And the tooth story--funny and gross!

  7. So sweet and cute. Though he probably won't even want to be called cute for much longer. Rather be cool or handsome ;). Noah has cowlicks too, gel is the only thing that works for us!
