Happy Friday!!! I am looking forward to the weekend. I'm sure that I am not alone in that, though. It was a good week, but I love the weekend when I get both of my boys all the live long day on Sat & Sun. Mason call's those the "S" days and always asks me when we wake up if it's an "S" day and then gets so excited when I say yes. Like jumps up, hands in the air with a great big YES!!! I feel you brother, I feel you. S days are the absolute best.
And why does it feel like October {aka the best month ever} is flying by? Wahhhh...
Time for Five on Friday...

{T W O} - Monday afternoon we were pulling into the driveway after school and I was busy gathering up our 97 bags when Mason was talking about Christopher Columbus and a lesson they did in class. It was about exploring and what they would search for. Mason told me that his answer was to look for God. I told him how sweet that was and that I loved that answer. Fast forward to that evening when I am looking through his school folder and I find this...
The tears just started flowing!! I thought it was only something they discussed in class and not a paper he would actually bring home. I was so pleasantly surprised to see those words in his precious little Kindergarten handwriting. What a blessing this little guy is! And what a great reminder that we should always be searching for God!
{T H R E E} - Mason started gymnastics again. We debated and debated the karate thing and we both feel that it would probably be best to start gymnastics first. We want him to be a little older when he starts Karate so that he fully understands when it's acceptable to practice it. He was ecstatic and very much in agreement to going to gymnastics. He said, "Can we go there today?" and Nate says "Sure, why not". So off we went and now he's signed up for a boys tumbling class on Tuesdays! This Tuesday was our first class and he had a blast. He loves his coach {who is an actual gymnast, so that helps} and he got to do so much in one 55 minute class. We are excited for next week!
{F O U R} So this happened this week....
Our town finally got a Hobby Lobby! And I've already been three times {in 4 days}. Oops! This place is like a little slice of Heaven. So, if you can't find me at home chances are that I am here.
{F I V E} It's Homecoming week for Mason's school!! He had dress up days and a parade last night. Tonight is the football game and we are going with some good friends. We are all pretty excited. Actually, we have so much planned this weekend that we are excited about. Tonight is the game, tomorrow is the farm/pumpkin patch and then trunk-or-treating at the church!!
From the parade:
These two little guys have been best friends since they were barely 1 years old. Love them!
What do you have planned for this weekend?
I have a friend who has to drive 2 hours to the nearest Hobby Lobby! I have no idea how she does life but bless her heart, she does ;)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh!!! Hobby Lobby!!! YES! We have one close-ish but not close enough so I rarely go. This reminded me... I need to plan a trip! They have the BEST Christmas and holiday stuff!
ReplyDeletePS I loved your snaps of Mason at gymnastics!
We don't have a hobby lobby nearby and the michaels is probably 20 minutes away. I think I've just gotten used to driving for everything ;). I think I'd be dangerous if these stores were closer!
ReplyDeleteoooo! So jealous of the Hobby Lobby! The closest one to me is about 35-40 minutes away, same with Michael's. However, we do have a Joann's about 10 minutes from our house, but it is just not the same. Haha!
ReplyDeleteYou should be so proud of your sweet boy! Such a gentle heart!
HOBBY LOBBY!!! Yep, I'd be there everyday too! Gymnastics, so fun! Wyatt gets to start in the spring when he turns 3 and I can't wait!
ReplyDeleteHobby Lobby!!!! EEeeekkkk!!!! Oh the sales and the coupons! NEVER buy anything without a coupon friend, just never.
ReplyDeleteLOVE that letter. I just saw a time hop post the other day where Marissa had asked me if we could go to God's house. Those little moments are the best.
