Saturday was our 2nd annual Friendsmas, and honestly—it was nothing short of amazing. We decided to spice things up (literally!) this year with a fiesta theme to go along with the delicious tamales we had made the night before. It was the perfect combination of fun, flavor, and festive chaos in the best way possible.
As soon as everyone arrived, the energy was buzzing. The house was filled with laughter, Christmas lights twinkled in the background, and the smell of warm, homemade tamales had everyone’s mouths watering. It was the kind of cozy, joyful atmosphere that instantly made you feel at home. The fiesta spread didn’t disappoint—we had tamales, of course, but also chips, dips, and all kinds of yummy side dishes that kept everyone coming back for seconds (and thirds).
And what’s Friendsmas without a good ol’ white elephant gift exchange? It was full of surprises, steals, and silly gifts that made for some truly memorable moments. It’s always fun to see who ends up with what—especially when there are a few hot-ticket items floating around that get “stolen” again and again!
To top it all off, we decided to bring a little extra holiday cheer by rocking our ugliest (and most festive) Christmas sweaters. Between the flashing lights, ridiculous patterns, and over-the-top accessories, we were quite the sight—but that’s what made it so much fun. It added the perfect amount of goofy charm and made for some amazing photos we’ll laugh at for years to come.
More than anything, though, what made the night so special was the people. This group of friends has truly become family to us. We’ve celebrated milestones together, walked through hard seasons, and supported each other through the everyday ups and downs of life. Getting to pause during the hustle of the holidays to simply be together, laugh, and celebrate how far we’ve all come—it was such a gift.
I walked away from the night feeling full—not just from the food, but from the love, the laughter, and the overwhelming sense of gratitude. God is so good and so gracious to place these people in our lives. I truly can’t thank Him enough for the friendships that have grown deeper with time and for the new memories we continue to create together.
Friendsmas 2024 is one for the books, and I’m already counting down until next year. ❤️🎄🌮
