{This past weekend // Fishing & horses, a birthday party and backporch sitting}

Happy Monday! We had another really great weekend and I'm sad to see it go. I'm really looking forward to the summer so that the weekdays feel more like weekends. I will have my boy home with me and we won't have to work around school. I'm so excited about that. Plus, we have a few trips on the books that we are looking forward to. Anyhow, here's a look at this past weekend...

This past Friday...

...we drove an hour west to visit with my best friend! We fished, fed the horses and visited until almost midnight. I love nights like those and just doing life with my people. We had an amazing time!

This past Saturday...

...I woke up bright and early for a 9 am nail appointment. I was regretting that decision around 7:45 when my alarm went off. But, afterwards I was happy because I was done before 10:10 am and I had several errands to run.

...My boys and I went to McAlister's for lunch and it was delicious.

...Then we headed to a pool party for Mason's best friend's 10th birthday. I didn't take a single picture. There were too many kids and too much water. I didn't want to chance it. But, I grabbed this one off of my friend's facebook.

This past Sunday...

...We went to Sunday school and church. It was an emotional day. Our Sunday less stirred up something in me and I was feeling convicted. The tears started flowing then and then continued all throughout service. It was an amazing service, though. And we decided to sit somewhere new during service. It was neat to see and hear the sermon from a different perspective.

...After church we headed to the family life center to support the youth's bbq lunch fundraiser. As always, the bbq sandwiches did not disappoint. And it was nice to fellowship with sweet church friends.

...We went home and regrouped. I ran to the grocery store while Nate and Mason washed the truck. When I got home Mason was swimming next door with neighbor friends. Two girls, ages 7 and 8. Oh man...

...Later that evening we went to Nate's parent's house for supper. Then came back home and enjoyed some time on the porch. We hooked up a bluetooth speaker and cleaned our porch up a bit.

And that's a wrap on our weekend! This post took me hours to complete. I cannot focus for anything today. Hope you had a great weekend!
