1. How long have you and your significant other been together? We are working on our 17th fabulous year together {Nov 1st}. We've never broken up during those 17 years, not even for a day!!

2. How did you meet? {What's your "love" story?} We met during high school through a mutual friend. We were walking to our cars one day and he ran up, grabbed my friend’s arm and asked her for my number. The friend didn’t hear him and kept asking what he said. I heard him, so I turned around and said, “Hey do you want my number?” and then I gave it to him. I wasn’t home but 2 or 3 phone minutes and the phone was ringing. It was Nathan. And who does he ask for? Not me – but the friend! I said, no did you try her house? He said no…then continued talking. We talked for an hour or so and then I had to leave to go cheer for a basketball game. He came to the game that night and watched me. We’ve been inseparable since.

3. If married, how long have you been married? If not, is this the guy you hope to marry? {do tell} This August {the 25^th} will be 6 years!

4. If you are married, where did you get married at? Big or small wedding?  If not, where would you like to get married? And will it be big or small? We were married at the Hanging Garden’s in Duncanville, TX. We knew we wanted a low-key outdoor wedding and this place fit perfectly. It was just how we wanted it!! It was fairly big. I think we had a turnout of over 150+ guests. 

5. Do you have any nick-names that you call one another? Do share! Nothing out of the ordinary – just babe, baby, honey, love…you get it. Oh wait…we do – we call each other Lobster. {from the Friends episode}

6. Name 3 things you love most about your honey. Only 3?? Hmm..that’s hard! I love the way he loves me. I love the way he loves our son. And I love his passion for life. He’s such a great man.

7. Tell us how he proposed? Or your ideal proposal? We were together so many years before he actually proposed…and we talked about it almost daily. He knew that I didn’t want it to happen in a public place. He went to a family jeweler and custom designed my ring. The proposal happened in our living room and it was perfect!

8. Is he a flowers and teddy bear kind of guy for v-day, or strawberries, champagne, and rose petals? None of the above! He knows that I’m not into most of that stuff. We normally go to dinner and back home to watch a movie or something.

9. Are you a sunset dinner on the beach kind of girl, or pop a movie in and relax on the couch? Definitely a movie at home and relax on the couch kind of girl!

10. Tell us one thing you'd like to do with your significant one day. If you could do anything? Go anywhere?

Travel the world by RV and visit every baseball stadium!!

11. Tell us what you plan on doing on this Valentine's Day. 

We will either have dinner at home - just the 3 of us...or go somewhere for dinner. Not sure yet! Hubby may have something planned :)

 

12. Are you asking for anything this Valentine's day?

Nope! Honestly can't think of anything I want or need! Except maybe my camera out of the shop. {but we can't control that! Dang Japan!}

13. Give us one piece of advice of keeping a relationship strong and full of love.

Communication and a strong friendship! You can't have a relationship without a friendship!!
