{STAR SPANGLED Saturday}

While the 4th of July weekend was a bit different this year (quarantine), we still had an incredible time. Our original morning/afternoon plans of being in the 4th of July parade and then going to the waterpark with the Jeep club were quickly vetoed. We were definitely bummed about the parade because we had so much fun last year. We kind of figured the waterpark thing wouldn't happen because Texas is starting to shut down again. The weekend before they closed down the river floats around here, so it was bound to happen. We didn't even tell Mason about it so that we didn't get his hopes up.

We were invited by our friends/neighbors to their family 4th of July celebration! So, we just took it easy that morning and went over there around 2:15ish. It's been a while since I had seen her parent's house. They have done so much to it and it is such an amazing outdoor space! I had full intentions on videoing the day but then 101 degrees with a 112 heat index PLUS 90% humidity happened. We were drenched within 5 minutes of being there! Thank God for water activities, right?! Anyhow, I say all that to say that I didn't feel like videoing or taking pictures. It was way too hot to use that much energy! ha.

We had pool games, waterslide relays, cornhole games, food, fun, fireworks, and fellowship. Despite the heat and feeling like crud, we had an amazing time.

We cooled off the night with some Bahama Bucks! We recently had a location open up about 7 minutes from the house! It's been insanely packed since opening, but at 10:30 at night it wasn't so bad!

How was your 4th?
