{WEEKEND WRAP-UP // SUNFLOWERS, JEEP RIDES, 4TH OF JULY, ICE CREAM}

We had a really, really good weekend! I was sad to see it go. Nate and I were both off on Friday and Nate was off on Monday! Those extra-long weekends are so incredibly good for the soul. Nate will have an extra-short week this week since his company celebrated the 4th on Monday! And, he's off on Fridays. I sure wish I could say the same. lol. Anyhow, here's a look at our weekend...

Friday //

Nate went with a friend to an off-road park on Friday during the day. I opted to stay home in order to pick up our grocery order, get some cleaning done, and do some meal prepping. He rode with our friend, Freddie rather than taking our Jeep. I got so much done and it felt good to have a productive day around the house. That evening Nate took me to the sunflowers at sunset. When we got there we were sad to see a 100+ cars there. Shortly after we turned on the main road between the two fields we saw to police turn down the road. So we followed them! And sure enough, they led us to some secluded sunflower fields that no one must have known about. It was them, us, and one other car! AND, there was a better view of the sunset!! I will have a full sunflower post soon, but here are a couple from that evening.

Saturday //

We celebrated the 4th of July with some friends and their family and it was amazing! It might have been a scorcher, but we made the most of it. I will have a full post on this day.

Sunday //

We all slept in a bit and it was glorious!! We were so worn out from our 4th of July festivities (and the sun!!). Nate and I ran into town to get front brakes for the Jeep and some lunch. After lunch, we decided to get the CJ and Polaris out for a bit! We rode around the neighborhood and down to our private lake. We had such a fun time.

Then we went to get ice cream at a new place in town called Chill Zero. It's owned by some Jeep friends of ours and it's soooo good! Mason had his first-ever (v. modified) banana split and he's a fan! Check out how cute this place is...

That evening we cleaned up the Jeep and went to take a couple of pictures for some product sponsorships we have going on. And then capped off the night with a beautiful sunset.

How was your weekend?
