{Little Letters // January 2019}

Time for the Little Letters link-up with Kristin at Taz and Belly!! I'm so happy that this link-up will continue throughout 2019! I missed posting this last Friday (because spontaneous road trip), but better late than never. Right? Writing these Little Letters lets me free up some random things floating around my head. To read my past Little Letters click H E R E. Here are my letters for this month...

Dear Jesus, I pray that You may be glorified in our season of waiting. Sanctify me and draw me closer to You. Help me to remember that it's not 'waiting' for you and that you are 'working'. May I fill the aching parts of my heart with thankfulness, prayer, and faith in Your sovereignty. Amen.

Dear mountains, you are without a doubt my happy place. I'm currently working on getting back to you asap. Oh, how I wish I could live in the mountains. A nice little cabin in the snowy mountains sounds like a little slice of Heaven to me.

Dear spontaneous road trip, you will go down in history as one of our favorite trips EVER! We are planners and this was nothing like we've ever done before. We are big fans and can't wait to go on another non-planned trip! 

Dear winter, I guess you're going to finally grace us with your presence this weekend. Temps in the 20s with rain. Yuck! It'd be fine if I was in a hermit state, but right now my gypsy soul is on fire and ready to go!

Dear Mason, you are the most challenging kid I know and are too smart for your own good, but man do you have a good heart! Your tender little soul just rocks me to my core sometimes. When I am feeling at my absolute worse you always know the perfect words to say that reminds me of how you see me. I'm just so thankful for you!

Dear blue light blocker glasses, I'm a true believer now. I have had zero headaches this week since I have started wearing you. Mondays are usually the worse for me, coming off a weekend of not being in front of a computer. But, I didn't even get the slightest bit of a headache on Monday! That was the true test for me. I'm convinced these work! Now I'm curious if I'd be able to wear these and look at my phone while on a road trip?? May have to test that soon!

Dear 2019, I like you already! If the first few weeks of the new year are any indication of how our year will go, then I'm one excited gal! We've already gotten to take one trip, I've organized many rooms of our house, I've made my bed every day, I've succeeded in the "put clothes where they go challenge", I've been putting laundry away as soon as it comes out of the dryer (rather than it staying in baskets in our laundry room until we wear the clothing again), etc. I know we're only 18 days in, but I am determined to make these habits!!

Dear everyone that has wished me a happy birthday, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You sure do know how to make a girl feel special.

Dear Friday, I am so excited you are here! It's my birthday weekend and I get a date night with my handsome man tonight! We'll probably hit the road Saturday morning and go somewhere.

Dear Weekend, bring it on. Let's find some adventure, okay? Have a good one, friends!
