{Weekend Wrap-up // Thanksgiving, Christmas tree farm, deckin' the halls}

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a really lovely long weekend. We sure did. But, now I'm bummed that my week with Mason is coming to an end. I love when he has extra time off from school. And I am thankful that this is a short week. He gets out early on Thursday and is off on Friday! Then we'll be counting down to Christmas vacation!! I'll start my weekend wrap-up with Thanksgiving because that's when our weekend began!

Thursday morning I woke up at 8 to begin cooking for our contribution to Thanksgiving lunch. Everything we were making that day needed the oven, so we had to use our time wisely. I made a pumpkin magic cake first. Then Nate woke up to help me with the other dishes. It was fun just being in the kitchen together cooking away. We made 2 types of green beans, sweet carrots, a cake, and grape salad. Everything turned out delicious! After cooking and getting ready we loaded everything up and took it around the corner to Nate's parent's house. We had a really great lunch with the Hall family and NeNaw (Nate's grandmother) there.

After lunch, we hung out for a bit watching football and chatting. Then it was time for most of us to mosy on to our 2nd Thanksgiving of the day. Nate, Mason and I went to my aunt's house to celebrate with my mom's side of the family. I didn't get a single picture there! There were over 60 of us there and just imagine the scene on Home Alone where everyone is running around like crazy getting ready for their trip...well, that's what it's like the whole time we are all together! And way too many of us to get in a group picture. But, pictures or not, we had an amazing time. We are so blessed with the most incredible family!

Friday Nathan, Mason and I woke up fairly early to go to the Christmas tree farm. More on this later. This deserves its own blog post!  :)

We had the most incredible time together! After the farm, we came home and regrouped. Nate went to his parent's house to watch a football game with them while I took Mason to see the new Grinch movie. We both loved it sooooo much! It was a sweet movie.

Saturday we spent the entire day decorating the Christmas tree! I strung over 1800 lights on the tree and that took forever. While Mason and I decorated the Christmas tree Nate put the lights on the exterior of the house. That took him all day as well!

Sunday Nathan and I both woke up feeling under the weather with sinus junk. So, we missed church. I was bummed, but we were both feeling crummy.

Also, I  have a couple of things to share:

Instagram Christmas Photo Challenge:
I'm joining Santa Stephanie and a few others to host a Christmas photo challenge! I love all things Christmas and love to photograph Christmas. They're my most favorite photos, ever!

How does the challenge work? Using the prompts as guides, snap a photo, share on Instagram, adding hashtag #2018ChristmasMoments This specific hashtag will allow all those joining the challenge to find each other's photos on Instagram.

Deck the Halls:
Holiday Home Tour link-up on December 12th. I hope you'll join us!

Have a great week!
