I am having so much fun turning all of these Pinterest Pins into Projects! Our most recent project was Butterbeer from Harry Potter! Mason and I are currently reading the series and watching the movies together. I've waited for this for a long time. To be able to re-read the series with him. And I am happy to say that he is just as obsessed with anything and everything Harry Potter as I am. We made a DIY Harry Potter wand not too long ago and had a blast doing it. So, it was only fitting that we try some Butterbeer.
There were so many recipes on Pinterest, but we chose one that seemed simple and didn't require too many ingredients. I ordered everything like minutes before I submitted my online grocery order. I'm so glad I did because it was such a rainy weekend and it was the perfect little indoor project for us. This is how we made our Butterbeer using this Pin as a guide.
Ingredients:
Vanilla Ice Cream
Butterscotch topping
Cream Soda
Whipped Cream
We used a personal size blender so we didn't really measure the ingredients. We just added as much of each thing as we thought we needed. And it turned out amazingly good! Mason loved it! I will admit that I accidentally ordered vanilla bean ice cream instead just regular vanilla. I think it would have been better with just plain vanilla.
Also, these photos are not great. It was a gloomy and rainy day. We did have an amazing time, though!
Have you ever made Butterbeer? This will have to do for us until we can get to Universal Studios!!
