{Picture Perfect Project // September Edition}

Mason is just like me when I was a child - hates taking pictures! I used to get so mad every time my parents would take my picture. I hated being center of attention and for that reason loathed the camera. My parents like to tell a story about a time when we were moving from one house to another and they found a stash of photos of me under a stereo console. I was only 3 years old and I hid every single picture that I found of myself. Hilarious! Anyhow, Mason comes by it honestly. So when he agreed to let me take a few pictures while out and about one Saturday afternoon I couldn't jump on the opportunity quick enough. Of course he chose the red train near the feed store. I've tried taking pictures of him on this same train so many times and can't quite figure out how to get a good shot! The train is so bright and shiny that it reflects the sun in a major way. And of course I put him in a red shirt that day. Oh well, I will take what I can get.

And by some small miracle he wasn't completely put out with me after these few pictures on the train. We moved on to the old bridge next where he let me snap a few more. But only a few because we ran into mosquitoes the size of bats. We were both over the bites within minutes.

After we had our fair share of bites we mosied on over to the feed store. It's one of my favorite places in our town. They built a new feed store several years ago, but they left the old one completely in tact and just connected the new one to it. The new part of it is completely cool, but nothing like the old one. I love the small town feel that it gives. This is where it gets good...Mason gave me gold. But, he was quick with each new picture and I had to snap fast. No time for checking camera settings. ha.

  1. Ha ha, cracks me up that at 3 you hid your pictures. Silly girl. You got such great shots. I love all three locations, but I think the bridge is my favorite. :)

  3. Too funny that you hated having your photo taken so much as a kid! I laugh that sometimes if I take a photo of Noah on my phone, he tells me to delete it. Thankfully he will usually cooperate when bribed. You got some great photos despite the reflecting sun on the train and the bat sized mosquitos!

  4. Aaaahhhh what a sweet boy to let his mama snap some photos of him even though he doesn't really like it. I think you did great. I can totally see how challenging that could be plus the glasses are a huge challenge too! Good job.

  9. These turned out so great! You wouldn't even know that he hates taking pictures! And LOL to you hiding yours when you were little!

    Both of my kids hate getting their picture taken... NOT good for a blogger momma! Haha.

  10. Such a cutie! Love the red shirt and train but that bridge is awesome! Boo for the bug bites though. Im ALWAYS eaten alive during summer. Just two weeks ago a flea got me good- from my hip to my stomach, 10 bites! It took some real restraint not to keep scratching!
