{$10 Target Challenge}

Some of my blogger friends do a $10 to Target challenge each month! I haven't joined in a while because I can never keep my Target bill under $10 bucks. I tried really hard this month though, so I decided to join in. When doing these $10 challenges I never make it past the dollar section in the front. Especially around holidays! And right now they have the cutest Halloween, fall and Thanksgiving things. I could have went crazy, but I kept the challenge in mind. I guess I will just have to go back. Is that cheating?! ha! Here is what I bought...

paint your own skull - $1.00 // character Jar Kit - $3.00 // paint your own pumpkin - $1.00 // black and white Halloween socks - $1.00 // light-up Halloween baton - $1.00 // Gather banner - $3.00 // binder clips - $1.00

Total = $11.00 + .91 (tax) = $11.91, minus the target red card 5% = $11.31

Not too bad! I did buy a planner this trip, but I am not counting it in for the challenge. It was something I needed and not just wanted. (I can justify anything!) I originally bought the fun little Halloween things to do when we go camping in October for the Fall Fiesta at Jellystone. However, I am not sure I will be able to hold them back that long. That's one weekend before Halloween. I would want to display them in October and not just for one week. So, we'll probably do them sooner.

If you had $10 to spend at Target what would you buy? Would you make it past the dollar section?

  9. I can justify anything -- you and me both sister! I make so many Target impulse buys that justification is lost half the time. James just shakes his head at me.

  17. Maybe next go round I can join this challenge because it seems so fun! We just got a bigger dollar spot and I was loving it the other day. I wanted everything. Ours had the cutest fall pillows and family cookbooks that i'm kicking myself for not getting. They may still be there though so there's hope!

    I don't blame you for wanting to do those crafts with Mase! I'd want to display them for a while, too! I can't wait to see what he creates with them! I think you did a pretty great job with the challenge. You only went over by $1 and some change.

    PS-I have that planner in light pink and love it but i'm already comparing other planners for next year!
