{Weekend Wrap-up}

Happy Monday!! Why do the weekends always fly by at lightening speed? And then the work week seems to just drag on! Anyone else feel that way? We had another great weekend filled with lots of family time. I love those kinds of weekends. They fill up my heart and soul until the next.

Friday evening we drove out to the lake to visit my parents and sister & her family where they were camping. It was a nice and relaxing evening! We made s'mores, hung out in the hammock, talked and the kids rode bikes and played hide and go seek with the camping neighbor kids. A good time was had by all.

Saturday morning was soccer pictures and then our soccer game. Our team did good and Mason rocked it at goalie again, but we lost. They had a player on the other team that was better than most high school kids I have seen. It was wild! And I kind of felt bad for the other 8 or 9 players on their team. They hardly got a chance to touch the ball because that kid was so dominant!

This was before the game while waiting for pictures!

After the game we had a nice lunch with Mason's Nana. We had planned on going back out to the lake again, but then it started raining pretty good. Rain is not good for camping! ha. So we decided to take Mason to the movies to see Batman vs. Superman. I have mixed feelings about it and still trying to process whether I liked it or not. There were some parts that I really really didn't like, but some that I really, really did. It was super long. And Mason liked it because it was all about superheros. It was a long movie though, and it does start out kind of slow.

Sunday was church, lunch with sweet church friends and then family time at home. You can see our Sunday in pictures in my Ten on the Tenth post from yesterday. That evening Nate's parents invited us over for supper so we walked over and spent the evening with them. Mason jumped on the trampoline for a while and decided that clothes were just totally unnecessary. ha!

That was our weekend! How was yours?

  7. What a great weekend. Love the coach shirt and the camping photos turned out really good too. That has to be weird having a kid that good that young. It must kind of stink for the other players on his team too. Kind of a weird situation I guess.

  8. Love those hammock pictures. Your posts always make me want to get outdoors and go camping or on a nature hike or flower hunting or something ;) I totally agree, weekends are much too short. Only five more days to go!

  9. I remember when I was younger, there was always someone on the team that was a "ball hog" haha! It was so annoying! I later learned that my husband fell into that category when he was a kid! He's pretty competitive and passionate about athletics.

  11. Thats exactly how Brian feels about the movie and he's a Superman fanatic. I love your camping pictures! I wish I liked camping more but s'mores can be had in the backyard (because those are truly my favorite part about cooking outside!)

  13. Sounds like a wonderful weekend! I've debated about taking my son to that movie. He loves superhero's too but not sure he'd sit still that long!
