{Oh Hey Friday}

Happy Friday! This week flew by freakishly fast. Anyone else? I'm not complaining one bit, though. I love our weekends and I am looking forward to another one. Saturday Mason has a soccer game at 12, and then we have another Easter celebration. My mom's side of the family is all getting together at my aunt's house. There will be 50+ family members there. We're doing a big potluck style lunch, and then the kids will have a big hunt with eggs and also outdoor fun items. Then the adults will play a couple games of bingo for fun little gifts. Each person is bringing a few little fun items to put in the bingo winners pile. We always have so much fun when we do this. I am really looking forward to it. And then Sunday is church and then I want to Spring clean! All of the Spring cleaning posts from this week have motivated me. Now, time for Oh Hey Friday...

Posts from this week...

Our Easter weekend
I confess
Guys behind the blog

{O N E} // Mason got Star Reader again for this 9 weeks!! Star Reader is for the students that read the most books. Their reward is a pizza lunch with the jr high cheerleaders!! Mason hasn't missed one yet! I love that he has a love for reading. And it shows because he is reading much above his grade level. He amazes us every single day and we are so proud of how hard he has worked in Kindergarten.

{T W O} // I also need to brag on Nathan. He got employee of the month again! He is the only employee to get it two times so far. And he works with thousands of others, so it's a big accomplishment. So proud of this man and his work ethics. He gives 150% always. Love that man!! And yes, he got it in January, but it just recently came out in their newsletter!

{T H R E E} // We  have been enjoying the longer days. Nathan leaves for work at 5:15 am and doesn't get home until almost 6 pm. So, until daylight savings time rolls around it's usually dark when he gets home. We are loving having the extra hours of daylight and soak up every minute of it. Ya know...before it's 110 and the mosquitoes are crazy.

{F O U R} // Storms. Oh how I loathe storms. They scare the you know what out of me and they give me major anxiety. We were supposed to have some really bad storms on Wednesday night complete with hail, high winds and tornadoes. The tornadoes are what terrifies me. I had been dreading it and worrying about it all day. Well, we got some high winds and hard rain for about 20 minutes and that was it! But the sky...oh the glorious sky...it put on a major show for us. I couldn't believe all of the different colors of the sky within that hour time frame. And also a double rainbow!! God is so good!

{F I V E} // After reading this post I have added Israel to my life bucket-list. I want to go there so bad. I can't even imagine being in the places that Jesus once walked, where he was baptized, where he walked on water, where he fed 5000+, the empty tomb, etc. Oh how awesome it would be.

And a bonus //  We have a fun linkup coming your way!! I hope you will join us.

That's all I've got! Happy weekend everyone. Any special plans?

  2. We were supposed to get bad weather too - I was glad we did not! I'm impressed at Mason's reading! Simon is in kindergarten and he's not quite there yet. Israel is amazing - I am Jewish and I've spent a lot of time there. It's really a beautiful place. If you're interested I have a bunch of posts I wrote recently because we were there this past summer! http://www.notinjersey.com/search/label/israel

  3. Feeling like Becky and the work day crawled but the stuff with the family flew by! So glad it's the weekend already! Oh fun link-up, although I don't think my kids have any baseball apparel that fits...must get on that! :) Maybe I'll just repost an old photo of us at Baby Fox's first baseball game. So much fun. So great to have a good reader. We're working with Baby Fox on the reading front...

  5. Someone who understands what it's like to have a husband who is gone for long hours! Chris leaves at 6 and gets home at 6:45 pm... So very similar! And when Noah doesn't nap, sometimes he falls asleep before Chris even gets home :(. And oh boy, tornadoes would scare me too! But man are those skies beautiful afterwards! Have a wonderful weekend and second Easter celebration!!!

    And way to go Mason AND Nathan! Bragging rights for both of them, for sure.
    The sky!! I miss the stormy skies, they are always so amazing once the storms pass through (or in this case, the non-storm).
    Have a great weekend!!
